The Great Gamesday 2012 Thread

Having Noticed that lots of people have threads for WIP's with an aim to entering Gamesday 2012 in their respective country I thought it may be interesting to have a kind of "master"thread listing those who plan to enter a model. If someone could sticky this I think it would serve as a nice reminder and possibly provide some inspiration to get something finished for it! Come next year this thread could be filled with fantastic pictures of peoples entries and serve as some reference for getting together at the actual events! Well here's hoping anyway.

If mods think its a good idea could you sticky this one??? Put your names below and a link to your WIP thread for your Games Day project and I will edit this post to include entrants in the lists below. When you have your entries done, please put a photo or link to your gallery entry in this thread. It could be interesting to see who makes it through, some may fall along the wayside, but following peoples efforts to improve and get an entry will be fun nevertheless. If people think this is pointless tell me now so we can forget about this thread lol!!!

I have plans, so I guess I'll bite. I actually bought the first few bits for an entry earlier today. Is it also worth putting what categories we are planning on entering to truly chart the epic fail? If so:

Lono - UK GD - 40k Squad, 40k Monster, Warhammer Monster, Large and Duel

I will probably only do a wip for some rather than all though. I think a big part of the GD appeal is that big reveal on the day. :)

Good man, and yes post catergories planned as well and of course, secrecy is important so pictures to the finished models after the event if thats the way you want to play it of course (I wont be revealing anything lol!) I will be planning a WIP for it, but that will be put up in one long thread the day before or something.

Yeah I've already started my stuff for UK 2012.
40K single mini - Chapter master (not sure which chapter yet...maybe one of my own concoction)
40K vehicle - relic contemptor
40K monster - Carnifex from forgeworld

Hope I do better than I did this year :D

Of course that may be overly ambitious, I am going to focus on the Duel, and then just hope that it works around my schedule. I just wish GW would tell us the date.

I've started my stuff for GD Oz 2012. Mainly because its the same stuff I didn't get done for 2011.

WHFB Single, WH40K Single, WHFB or WH40K Large (Maybe both, depending on my motivation to fly to Sydney for the final).

I read that you guys have a different set up for GD, sounds a little wierd to me and a lot of hassle!!!

i´ll be entering golden demon uk next year aswell, in the monster category i´ll be re-entering my giant, felt like it didnt get a proper consideration, i´ll also do something pretty for lotr single and something big for diorama=)

ps. what´s this about khazak gd, didnt know there was one, is there a big interest for the hobby in khazakstan? sounds fun! ds.

Ischa - Just a little Borat movie joke there ischa that's all, there is no Games Day in Kazakhstan really, although if they did have one I am sure it would help make their nation great!!

Meph - Is the competition you mention specific to Belgium? I'll put it on the list, could you tell me the specific official catergory title that you will be putting your conversions under as well please mate.

GD Canada does not exist anymore... GD US is actually GD North America I will be there this year 40K vehicle, 40 K single, LOTR and a diorama

Thanks for the correction minimart, seems a little insane for GW not to run a games day in Canada, hardly fair for Canadian GW gamers. I will ammend....

Okay 10 ball, no worries, just post in here/pm me if you want to change it. If people dont end up getting all their chosen catergories done it can be changed nearer the event day.
