Hello everyone!

I have recently started a WiP thread elsewhere, But i'm jumping ship over to here. I feel I can get much better feedback from a site full of painters rather than a site of gamers.

My attempt here is to clean out my backlog, And further the cause of the war against bare plastic.

I am also Stealing Pegazus' idea of a points system to buy models, based on what I paint

Tonight I did a bit more work on the owl, and did the airbrushing on some wood elf archers. Somehow I lost one of the archers somewhere, which is mildly irritating.
All I ave left to do on the owl is the greaves on the rider, and the basing which will be done for the entire army all at once.

Your pics are really blurry, mate, I can't make all but the largest details out. Perhaps you should consider using a tripod?
The metal work on the owl's base looks particularly good, and I would love to see that in sharp clarity.

Good on you for bying local and acquiring this impressive beast.

I echo the comment about the pics, it's hard to correctly provide insight if we don't see what's going clearly. It help resizing them ( I find 800px wide works well on most monitor.) so we dont need to drag aroung to see the thing as a whole.

Paints seem rather thick and glossy at places, but may very well be the glare, so back to the picture argument.

Haha, thanks! I was waiting for it to come back into stock forever, and when it did, I had to snatch one up for my elves.

I will definitely work on the pictures, Thanks!

And I will keep the size thing in mind- I was resizing them to 1500, Because that was what looked good on my screen, But I didn't really consider how it'd look on other peoples monitors. Thanks again for the advice.

the sheen is the medium mix I use to thin/glaze my paints. It has a gloss finish. I usually throw some matte on a model before I call it done.
