OK, WTF? I just logged into The Miniatures Page, and now you can\'t post on message boards unless you\'re a supporting member? And they want $2.50 a month or $25 for a year! You\'ve got to be kidding me! Yeah its a nice service, but I mostly went there to read stuff and oh, maybe once a month I\'d post something. When I first saw the thing about being a supporting member, I considered it until I saw what kind of price they were asking :( CMoN is great and I use it enough to make the $1 a month worth it. Not to mention really the main difference is pop-ups and a favorites list... folks who don\'t pay can still get 99% of the functionality out of it. Here they want me to pay $2.50 a month to post once... screw that. All I have to say is, this is really gonna cut down on the traffic on the boards there, that\'s for sure. I realize they\'ve gotta pay for their server, webmaster, etc somehow, but I don\'t think this is the best way to go about it... ah well, just had to get that off my chest...

Katie this is all hear say. If you read the (lengthening( thread, you will see that they are trying to decide how to get rid of abusive members and false id\'s that give fake feedback for companies.

They will be back to normal asap I am sure...

Don\'t Panic!

I use that site now more than this one as they are much more historical friendly over there. I\'d love to say I wouldn\'t pay 25 a year but, you know, I think I would.

It\'s just a damn good site through and through.

Plus I\'m plagued with that server busy madness here. It has been a long time since I logged out of this site deliberately - usually, one by one, my windows start going down - I just gave up refreshing and hoping it will come up again... I\'ve been pulling my hair out for months! Or is it just falling out??? lol

As I said in the announcement at TMP, it was a temporary measure to control some abusive posters. I thought the \"lock down\" would need to last a few days, but as it turns out, I only needed a few hours to resolve the major issues. (I needed to \"lock down\" the site so that I could stop spending all my time blocking abuse attacks, and fix/track the actual problems.)

So, as I said, the Great TMP Lock-Down of 2004 is now over.

Whoops, my bad, I didn\'t see the explanation thread. I must have missed it somewhere, I usually just hop on to read message boards and stuff, so if it was in the news I missed it. Ignore me, ignore this thread, now where\'s that embarrased smiley?
