The new place (warning: picture heavy)

Well if anyone is coming to the north Cali coast, let me know, I have an extra bed that is relatively comfortable...although Gato may attack in the middle of the night.

As for Miniature display, I have a number of display cases actually from Ikea, however they aren\'t put up yet...so right now most of the finished pieces I still have are either packed up, or on that little shelf just above the left side of my desk.

And I\'ve really tried to make it not messy! and get away from the typical Bachelor pad look. In fact when I\'ve had guests over, people pretty much first ask who I got to help me set the place up, since they completely couldn\'t imagine I did it myself...

VERY nice place, Eric!

Hardwood floors are fantastic with cats or dogs. Especially if you have a laser pointer...lol

Can\'t wait to see daylight pics!

Your place looks fantastic, Eric! You seem to have a really cozy, yet functional, worklpace set up for you.

However, and I mean absolutely no offence, I DO think it looks like a bachelor pad, only a neat one! ;) The way things are arranged and decorated lack that distinctive feminine touch! You should see my place. It\'s a lot less tidy (because my girlfriend has a tendency to make a mess... ;)) and it is crammed with small objects that I would never have thought about putting there. For instance, on one of my computer speakers there is a tiny photo frame with a tiny photo of a chihuahua dog. We don\'t have any dogs, but my girlfriend likes them... I have learned to like most of these things, but sometimes I miss a more simple and clean decoration.

I\'ve got family in Santa Cruz so I may take you up on that. Sadly I had to sell my Condo in San Jose so a trip can\'t be a tax write-off anymore.
I bet you live in walking distance of one of my aunts. I can\'t recall her address but she lives in a trailer park on the beach. Her kids have begged her to move but she says she couldn\'t sleep if she couldn\'t hear the waves hitting the shore.

Yeah, that\'s a really, really... REALLY nice place you\'ve got there. Maybe on day i\'ll sell a kidney on Ebay and rent a shack in your backyard!lol

Oh, and the northern California shoreline has been hit by a tsunami back in the 30s-40s. We got a warnering down here of a tsunami after an offshore earthquake a month or two ago. Luckily it died off the cliffs before hitting the town. i live right below the pointy \"elbow\" of California.

Hmm didn\'t feel really attacked with a cat curled up in a soft fluffy ball against my tummy, purring like crazy. lol
Oke Gato did a good job in keeping me awake though :)
And once again I\'m undermining Eric\'s portraying his cat as a little terror. And I ain\'t even lying. Cute as a button (If you don\'t need much sleep that is).

oh, Gato on the hardwood with a laser pointer is a good evening of fun!

And yes, I sort of tried to keep my place relatively minimalist, no little trinkets EVERYWHERE, but we\'ll see how long that lasts. I suppose it\'s a bachelor-y thing to do, but I also suppose it I ever have a woman move in with me, it\'ll be like a blank slate for them for all that crap :(

I think I may be a ways away from any of the mobile home parks, they\'re more north of me along the coast, so they\'d be a LONG walk away (maybe 10 miles). Down in my area it\'s all HUGE $3m+ homes and a big resort right on the beach.

And Cindy, no way! Gato is an evil little beast, I just don\'t know what came over her while you were there, she was 10x more cuddly and 100x more purry with you, I think you drugged her *eyes you*

honest!! normally all she does is knock over my paint water, leave hair in my paints, and generally shed everywhere!

Of course, you WILL have display cases full of miniatures :D How is that so different?

/also has a bach pad, nowhere near as nice though, but 7 floors above any flood risk :D

Haha! Most bachelor pads I\'ve even been in had these characteristics:

- piles of clothes all over, in various states of needing laundering

- dirty dishes set about everywhere and a pile of them in the sink

- empty/partly full beer or soda cans everywhere

- towels for curtains, if anything

- a piece of women\'s undergarments hanging off of something, somewhere.

- a strange, unidentifiable odor in the air.

Give it a year, THEN let\'s see how it looks.

;)

*EDIT* Awww, Gato looks like a fuzzy, little, white ANGEL! How can you call that face evil!?!?

It\'s a cat, isn\'t it? :] ALL cats are evil! I love cats, but they\'re still evil...

well according to that list, I guess I don\'t really qualify as a Bach-pad then, I don\'t have any of those things :(

I\'ll work harder next time!!!
