Then I look at my Winged Vampire Lord, and the difference is staggering. Thus far, I\'ve done his flesh, his wing sails, and the armour plates, and even without the work lights on, the highlighting is visible, catches all the little subtleties I wanted caught properly, and generally smokes the hell out of anything I\'ve ever painted before.

Wouldn\'t get to cocky just yet.
Ive got a few tricks up my sleeve still. :twisted:

Also my girlfriend is giving me gentle encouragement like \"kick his arse\" and i ain\'t the type of guy to ignore the request of a beautiful woman, so bring it on dude :cool:

This is going to turn into a grudge match by the end of this thing i fear.

Im really enjoying the competition though, makes you push yourself that little bit more.

And i think that both vamps are going to be some of the best models we have ever painted.

Well, actually, we can\'t have a grudge match until one of us loses, and that makes us bitter painting enemies, and there\'s a re-match.

But, yeah. My Vampire\'s head and shoulders over anything I\'ve done, and I\'ve only done three colours.

nick232? Are you still watching this treat? If so, I would gladly pick up the challenge to to a High Elf. I have TONS of those guys to finish and must get my ass up. How about a bolt thrower with crew? Or we could do something different. How about a free hand banner challenge? That would be quite interesting!

@Necroghast: my LGS has managed to release the gretchin on Jan. 4th ??? dont ask me how, but ill be picking up 3 boxes around that date.

i\'ll wait till you have yours before painting of course.

what do we do with the base, just plain flock and paint, or can we go all out on it?
