this guy is a conversion of mine for golden demon. made from a GW troll, warmaster dragon wings, and lots of putty. i like the empire guy on the base, especially his heart-covered underpants. the spear in his hand he stole from the empire spearman.
overall this is supposed to be a funny miniature.lol

It\'s great! It\'ll certainly make the judges smile on the day! It\'s such a shame more of the \'funny\' entries don\'t win, but then again it IS a painting comp so i guess the best painted ones have to win even if some others are more imaginative but not as well painted. I\'ve posted a reply mate.

Heheh, very characterful and funny. I like it a lot...

As for things you could improve before the next GD, I would just recommend keeping on smoothing out the blends and just keep on adding more highlighting to almost everything, especially the purple monster. Just do that over time, and it\'ll turn out awesome.

What a great Idea. Way cool, I have to agree with Nelson that you should smooth out the blends and bring up the highlights. It gets a 8 from me. Maybe you should do a little more with the base. Some shrubs??

As for a suggestion, the base stages are very easily discernable. You need to break up the outline of the upper section edges from the bottom tier. I\'d also suggest that you try to look at pictures of natural stone areas as there is a lot of grey in your base which doesn\'t really happen in nature. Most soils are shades of brown so a very dilute wash of brown over some areas will increase the \"Realistic\" appearance. I\'d also suggest that the brown sand needs to be changes to a green to suggest moss as to me it doesn\'t go with the grey.

I have to agree with all the previous commenters, you need work some more on smoothing out and increasing the highlights in the purple.

it is similar, but i actually began this conversion a year ago, but then he dropped and broke, so i redid everything recently.
