I dunno....we\'re gonna be down a bunch of Dwarves next week....hopefully Mosch\'s connection will allow him to play, otherwise we\'re really gonna be in trouble....

Hi Everyone - I forgot that I\'m not going to be able to play this coming Sunday. We have friends at church who\'s son died last week from a brain tumor. He was 9. He was in my R.E. (religious education/sunday school) class a couple of years ago and was a sweet kid. His memorial service is at 2 pm and so the kids and I are going to go to the second service, grab some lunch and head back to the church for the service.
There was a vesper service in his honor tonight, but even though I was there I didn\'t go - I keep breaking down - it just hits a little too close to home for us. Going to the service is going to be hard enough.
Anyway, just wanted you all to know so you didn\'t think I\'d forgotten or something.

It happened so quickly that I think it took everyone (outside of the family) by surprise.
Anyway, I am planning on playing the following weekends. I\'m going to move the boys to first service R.E. and start attending the 9am service so I can be back by 11. Grumb and I were both in an adult R.E. class at 11, but we\'ve been talking for a long time about dropping out and this was a good excuse to do that.
It happened so quickly that I think it took everyone (outside of the family) by surprise.

Not to join the club or anything, but i\'ve been scrubbing the eves of the house all this week and might be painting it this sunday. Really depends on how much gets done saturday whether i\'ll be here or not... i\'ll let you guys know the night before.

@ everyone else: looks like this week we\'ll be a bit short-handed (sorry Dwarves for the reference...) Probably best to wait until next week to \"get it on\"

It must be hitting you both quite hard considering what you have gone through with your own son.

Thanks for your thoughts everyone. Yesterday\'s service was very hard, especially since Scott was still in China. It was a wonderful service, though, even if I did cry through most of it.
He was a special little boy and will be remembered by all who met him.
@Todd - I\'m sorry that there were so many people missing yesterday, but I\'m glad we\'ll get to take part next weekend! We\'ll \"see\" everyone then!

Scott\'s flight was supposed to get in tonight, but the flight from Shanghai, that he was catching in Hong Kong, had mechanical problems. He had to wait for another plane to come in.
Because of that, he missed his direct flight from San Fran. to Atlanta and has to take a flight that goes to Chicago b/f coming to Atlanta.
All that said, he\'s SUPPOSED to get in tom. morning (Sunday) at 9 a.m. He has to get through customs, though, and sometimes that takes at least an hour. I have no earthly idea when we\'ll be home and what condition he\'ll (we\'ll?) be in when we get there.
So play on and hopefully we\'ll be there or at least join in if we\'re running late.

I imagine that DR will either be at or recovering from the GD in his neck o\' the woods, so that\'ll take us down by a dwarf. Dawn and Grumb running late, (and if you can\'t make it, no prob, we understand). That leaves Sith, LP, Mosch, Itchy, and (maybe) 1/2 man. Oh yeah, and Collum, for whatever use he is...
EDIT: Tracy has had (yet another) good idea. If you wanna play tomorrow, snap off an e-mail to me. With Sith, LP, Mosch, and Itchy, you should be able to take it on. With less, it gets increasingly doubtful... So\'s if I get confirmations, we\'ll play (see below), if not, I\'m goin back ta sleep. END EDIT

Hey folks. I managed to catch a non-stop red eye from San Francisco to Atlanta. jut got home about an hour ago. 34 hours from the time I left the hotel in Hong Kong till I got home. Loads of fun...
Anyway, with the time difference I\'m still wide awake at the moment so we should be in for the game. See you all around 11.
