The real Matt Varnish....

@ Mick: Vallejo Matt is decent - especially through an airbrush, but for £3 you should definitely give Dullcote a go. It\'s as good as people say it is. I\'ve even started using inks again and giving my minis quick blasts of DC as I\'m working to knock back the shininess. Forgotten how much I loved working with inks. They\'re really easy to blend and layer. Lovely:D

@Scott: oh Yeah I know, I\'ve still got a bottle I bought from the CMON shop A while back, in fact I\'ve got a unit of SM scouts to do with it

I was refering to the 500ml spray, but even the brush on dries dead matt too. It\'s nothing like GW\'s, it comes out in a mist like spray about 10 times finer than theirs and it\'s Acrylic based, GW\'s is Cellulose (you can tell by the smell). It also dries really quick too

.....and not forgetting I\'m a Vallejo stockist......:D:D

I just tried the dullcote. I\'m not only loving it, I am also extremely suprised to find that it can be cleaned up with simple tap water. Also, it seems I can dilute the dullcote with simple tap water.

VERY nice stuff.

There was a guy who won loads of Demons in the early 90\'s with minis that had so much gloss on them, the surface detail had become almost flat! They were horrible!
