Alright, can you say performance anxiety? lol
No really, it was horrible. I told myself that if so many people who know what they are doing are going to see this in person I\'d have to be extra careful and do the best I can. Of course I failed miserably.
My intention was to go for the worn out dirty look and it all looked still fine after I applied the basecoat. Ha! Nothing much you can do wrong there!
But then it began. First my wash was perfect but the second I added some Klarspühler(the stuff I use to break the surface tension) it reacted with that drop of GW black ink which was also in there which resulted in the wash having tiny little paint flakes in it, ugh. Next wash was too watery, so I added a little black but that it was way too much I only realized when the paint was already all over his face and dry.
Next step: mixing paint on the wet pallette and start the real thing. Somewhere along the way I noticed I was running out of my mixed colours so I really had to hurry up. Probably the reason my paintjob sucks...I mean, looks so rushed.
And then that right arm which had muscles at the weirdest of places and really gave me a hard time discerning what to highlight and what not.
One good thing tho: I managed to paint half decent eyes in the first go! Yay!
But still: Never again!lol
