I think a lot of it depends on what color scheme you use in the forums. I could read Lurch\'s just fine, but I always have to highlight DR\"s when he does that in blue.
BTW I use the black color scheme and another feature of it is that the \"Rules\" at the top of the page appear as just a white box. :D I always figured it meant that they didn\'t apply to me lol OH, Uh... maybe I shouldn\'t be saying that in a reply to a moderstor :eek: lol

OK, since all my previous goals are now in the gutter, I have made new ones.

Plan my GD 2005 entries(Yes ! I\'m going!.. well, most likely.)
Plan my Daemon Prince conversion
Finish my Emperors Champion before next week. Nasty lil\' bugger.
And.. get up a playable force of Daemonhunters and play a game of 40k before christmas.
:D

1) get higher than a 6.5
2) finish my lightsource mini

so basically paint my lightsource mini to be better than a 6.5.

OK, here are my new goals:

1. Get a 7, just because IPM said it and I have just eaten a parrot (it sure as hell didn\'t taste like chicken)

2. Finish my Drune Persecutor a) TONIGHT and b) WITH A SIMILAR QUALITY AS MY FORMOR FIEND. For my Formor Fiend I needed, don\'t know, I think it was about a month? I want to prove that I can now do it in a single day.

My goals for the year were:
1) paint 1 new mini a week- so far so good, I\'ve managed to keep up! Although I had to count large projects as several minis:)

2) Get an 8.0 on CMON, managed to make this one as well, somewhat to my surprise!

Next Year 2005
1) 3 solid GD entrys making the final cut with at least 1- that may be a stretch but ya gotta have goals::D

2) An 8.5 on CMON- that may be tougher than the GD thing, but I\'m going to give it a shot!

Setting some goals for my work seems to help me stay focused and defeat the worst of my- *I just don\'t want to paint* periods. Set your goals a little high and then push yourself, you may be plesently surprised:cool:

Goals for the year, or what is left of it.

1. finish my necron army (only one model left!)
2. Actually work on my Tyranid so I might be have 1850 to play with.
3. start ny next GD entry (who am I kidding, it won\'t get started until 2 weeks befor, just like always:(

1. get to 7.0
2. learn normal NMM
3. become good enough to do basic commision work

Well...

1. Still haven\'t gotten there :( Perhaps my nearly finished Kelt Fianna will make it though...

2. I am starting to learn NMM, and my gold recipe is turning out good, but kinda looks more like bronze (too much brown, not enough orange I think)

3. I have accepted work to do several commissions, though none of them are for money (two in exchange for paint and more figures, and one for a set of W&N S7 brushes)

So.. I have completed one of my goals completely (commissions), one of them partially (NMM), and one not atall, but I MIGHT get there soon (7.0)

I have a new goal as well... finish my space marine army, at my current above tabletop average.. before Christmas (that\'s one rhino, one dreadnought, a tactical squad, and perhaps some more scouts or a razorback...)

Well time for feedback, and some new goals.

1) Paint a model that I would be happy to post on CMON
Well, decided that with the caliber of painters on the site, I would never be happy, so instead I just posted.

2) Paint more models than I buy
Well for the last two months my score stands at models painted 0, models bought 0. Do I get half points

3) Myself and a couple of friends have started something similar to the Last Painter Standing, where we each paint the same model over a two month period and then post it and comment on each others work. Right now I am 2 models behind so I need to catch up there.
Well this is never going to happen as I am now 3 models behind. I think I am going to scrap this one

Anyway, now I have a few new goals.
1. Learn how to take decent pics
2. Paint and post my SOB army. This is only going to happen 1 model at a time, so I am not going to get the army done for a while.
3. Get a score above 5.0
4. This time really paint more models than I buy.

- Learn how to paint \'see-through\' things like that ice-sword barbarian someone had

- Learn how to paint runes etc on minis

- Stop licking my brushes

1) finished, customer is ready to hand over the second part
2) done, except for the fantasy unit I was working on, which was too big to get finished in time
3) still busy, the 4 new Karnagh drunes are primed, and the two remaining miniatures to complete my collection are still in the blister pack.
4) Somewhat finished. We already have a name, and the other guy is going to give a painting demo this weekend, under our new banner, to do some first promotions. I stille need to make a website though, and get it launched on the internet.

So I guess most of my goals are completed, so here are the new ones:

1) Complete the setup of the paint studio I\'m starting out with one of my friends, create a site for it and do some PR in order to get known.
2) Complete my Drune army and keep track of new releases
3) Finish the project I started for the painting competitions.
4) Commission work (3 customers are waiting ATM).

I will start working on these when I have some more time. I just moved to a new house, so there\'s so much to do besides painting.

I\'d love to be able to:

a) Finish my old Night Goblin archer unit before the year is out.
b) Get a miniature to 8 or higher, and then have it stay there for at least a week.

Doesn\'t sound to hard to achieve, but considering i take ages to paint miniatures, even rank and file ones, (a) is probably going to be a close call. Also, while some of my miniatures aren\'t far off 8 at the moment, i know they wont get there. And i\'d love to be able to put a mini up and have it go 8 or higher, and stay there for a while. At the moment, my best ones all seem to be falling short by 0.5 and stuff like that. I guess i have to figure out how to take some better pictures. :)

Well, just wanted to say that I think I accomplished another one of my goals.. two or my latest pieces broke the 6.4 barrier I had reached before... my Ork Burna Boy is at 6.9, and my new Librarian is at 7.1 :D

My next new goal is to learn how to paint decent drab greens, and better yellows..

Well I\'m a litlle late for my goals but here they are anyway:
1) Get above a 7 on the next mini I post
2) Find a nice idea for that CMON contest mini and do it in time for the contest
3) Do at least a mini diorama this year to my best standard, mini that I\'ll eventually enter in GD if I go this year.

OK, most people seem to hope for scores, so my new goal would be getting a seven I guess.

Actually, I just want to effing finish my Drune Archer.
