The Sound of Inevitability (or \'I\'ve finally made it to 1000 posts\')

I thought I\'d have a bit of fun with my 1000th post and post up my first and latest minis.

I think I must now hold the record for taking longest to get to freakdom. Check out that registered date lol. I think that\'s before the vast majority of people who still frequent the forums. In that time CMoN has gone from strength to strength, we\'ve gained some great characters on the forums and additions like the shop and the constantly growing list of articles have made this site a very valuable resource for all painters

Anyhow, this is the first mini I ever painted. I think I would have been around 8 or 9 at the time. Notice how I cunningly painted the figure\'s metal death mask in flesh colours . It looks pretty nasty to me now, but it\'s nice to know where you came from

And these are the latest thing I have finished, now at the age of 22. I\'m quite pleased with how they turned out. It was kind of a compromise as I really like Bretonnians but knew I\'d never have time to do a full army of them

I\'ll try and get them uploaded to CMoN once I figure out how to get the file size small enough

Long live CMoN

Well done on your 1000th,
Some interesting colour choices on the Bretonnians, I like them very much. Also I like the style of painting you have used. :D
All the best:

Now, head to the freak bar, Penguin is tired of the mop and is doing some strange things to the floors there.

Hmm I detect a small amount of improvement there lol

That was a very inovative way of painting that SM face. I don\'t know if I have seen anyone else do that!

Congrats on reaching the freak bar. Hope to see you there soon.:drunk:

Also I like the style of painting you have used

Yeah, a lot of people were asking me what paint range I use. They\'re just in GW or Vallejo Game colour, but I use a lot of bestial brown and bleached bone in the blends, so the colours are more muted and less bright than normal

How many years ago did you paint that first one?

I reckon I was around 8 or 9 at the time, so it was about 13 or 14 years ago

Congrats on making it too the 1000 !! :D
And nice painting too, the idea of making a scenery as a compromise to panting an army isn\'t bad. Might steal that.....then again I don\'t even have time to paint one mini .... Great jobs anyway, keep on posting :bouncy::moon:

Cheers for the comments guys

I decided to make the display base because I knew the warband wouldn\'t be changing after I made it. I don\'t tend to do display bases for full armies because if you add one extra miniature to the army, then you have a problem.
