I realise that CMON is really about quality painting, not quantity painting, but maybe I can get a few hints from kindly people.

Have a look here and leave a comment in this thread or on the picture page.

Thanks in advance to any kind soul with some helpful advise.

I am amazed.....

I can\'t believe you can produce this level of quality in 1.5 - 2 hours. The problem is, as I see it, you are producing a quality far superior to tabletop, especially when you are contemplating painting hundreds.
You are going to either have to a) lower your standards or b) recruit help because i hnestly see no way you could produce this level of quality any faster.

ok real attempt at advice...

I think your lil Vikes look pretty darn good.

Especially given the 1.5-2 hours you are finishing them in.

I suppose the best way to speed everything up would be to base up several on your 60mm bases, then kind of do it \"assembly line\" style.

First paint all the spots that will have red paint, then blue paint..etc etc...

Once done with base coats, go back to mini number one, and start with your highlighting/shading. Usually this way also allows some drying time between the coats and keeps you moving on the next task.

Hope that helps...

PS : I love your Trogdor signature- perhaps the next bestest comic next ta\' Chrispy\'s- that cow one kills.lol
Me likey vikings- wow at your speed dude!

:(:(

So when I dropped my pants she burst out laughing and said \"who you gonna satisfy with that?\" I looked down and replied \"Me!\"

Er, um, yeah, back to miniatures. (bad pun intentended). I\'ve tried the basing before painting thing with 15mm and really did not like it. But lined up 4 of the vikings on a 60mm base to test, and its too crowded to get a paint brush in anywhere.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

Thank you for the very kind words, but they\'re really just painted in a 3D-paint-by-numbers style. I think the smaller scale neccesitated by photographing 4 wide makes them look a bit better compared to superior paint jobs that are magnified more, and so show flaws more.

I have no time for painting for a week and a half, but after that I might do a step-by-step article. I suppose it\'s really asking a bit much for me to request tips without explaining how I paint. Once I outline what I do, it might be easier for someone to suggest improvements.

Thanks again for the kind words.
