For those of you who know what the subject title means, let me say this:

I went to see their George Best 20th anniversary gig last night. It was sheer class. A belter of a gig it were, in an old converted church now called The Point, Cardiff Bay. The sound was mint, the energy superb and there was a 90% ratio of men to women. That wasn\'t so good, but it is a bit of a lads thing.

Sweated a bit, jigged round the place and generally had a quality bash.

And me old mucker asked him why George Best is the title and cover. He said simply that he lived in Manc for a while and liked Man U, or something to that effect. The mystique evaporated!

There\'s a band I haven\'t heard in ages! Brings back some memories... vague as they may be. I don\'t think I\'ve ever listened to them sober. :innocent:

They\'re embarking on a European tour aren\'t they? Look them up!

It\'s great seeing bands in such small venues. Saw Joe Satriani, when he did Surfing with the Alien, in a \'room\' that was about like a large room in a house.....COOL

Well, I might just go and look for a record or two by them instead... I\'ve gotten a bit retrospective lately.

He was quite good at it apparently.

But, I swear someone told me George Best, the footie player, died last year or so...

Yeah he did and to his credit he wanted his last days documented as a warning to others against the dangers of football.
