Hello everyone, my name is John and I organise affordable painting workshops with top class painters with the aim of helping people of all abilities to really increase their standard of painting in a very short amount of time.
Good afternoon all! The Weekend Workshop is back for another round and this time it welcomes Tue Kaae from the icy land of Denmark!
So come and join me, John Harrison and our tutor for the weekend,Tue Kaae as he reveals his the secrets of OSL and freehand over a 1 or 2 day painting workshop. Tue will take you through a range of techniques from the basic to the advanced in a fun, relaxed and structured way, whether you’re a trophy hunter or a laid back hobbyist, this is a really great opportunity to learn from someone who has a huge knowledge the European painting style.
The workshop is going to be split into 2 days, the first day Tue will be teaching how he paints OSL and on the second day he will be teaching how he paints freehand, Tue over the two days will also be talking about colour theory, the different types of contrast and zenithal lighting. The workshop will also include an airbrush demo and Tue has kindly agreed to give some sculpting and conversion lessons outside the workshop hours for anyone who is interested!
You can grab the full benefit of the complete workshop and book both days for £70 or if you’re on a tighter budget or have other commitments that weekend you can still make it up for a one day workshop, this will cost £40 and you can either come up for OSL on the Saturday or freehand on the Sunday, totally you’re choice! The 1 day and 2 day workshops will both receive a free mini to paint with breakfast and lunch, this weekend the free miniature is a GW's Plastic Grey Knight!
The workshop will officially run from 10.30 am to 6.30 pm, although both me and Tue will be staying long after 6.30 just to chat, hang out and do more painting and sculpting! So if you have any questions, want to see how we’ve painted something, or your after feedback on a mini or two you will get plenty of chance to do so!
Items that you will need to bring with you:-
Paints
Paint Brushes
A Lamp (or two) with a daylight bulb
Palette (ideally a wet palette)
A scalpel or X-acto knife
Fine grit sand paper/file
Pin vice, drill bit and brass rod
Superglue
Dont worry if you cant bring all of these items or you forget some as we will have some spare that you can lend them.
