Hey, thanks all! I didn\'t really mean to overtake the thread, my apologies to the OP.
The worse has hopefully passed, but more heavy thunderstorms are headed here.
They are forcing some folks to evacuate, but we are fine at my home and my work.
Still, amazing, exciting, and terrifying times.
Here is a pic of the \'railroad bridge\'. It collapsed, and about 10 minutes later, my folks saw it float by their house.
I work on the opposite side of the river, and about three blocks to the left of this picture...While almost all of our employees were evacuated, a few of us spent time shoring up the sand bags to the essential parts of the phone company.
Usually, that river is low enough that there is a sidewalk next to it below the flood wall. I think the normal stage is 12 feet, this is at about 24 or so.
Parts of the city are devastated, but all along this river, it is going to be worse for the folks downstream.
