What about the troop of hopelessly bad villains in the Batman movies? Arnold as Mr. Freeze - simply awful.

How about a \"Best Film Villains\" thread - I bet that would generate more interest.

I thought this line was pretty good:

Never Ending Story
\"Hey. You know what would have made a scarier villain in this movie than \"The Nothing\"?... \"The Something\".\"

@triede, read the very last line of the guy\'s post - after his description of General Zod.

But then you\'d just get 9 million votes for Darth Vader and one vote for Castor Troy.

David Bowie in Labyrinth? WTF? OK, so he was no Hannibal Lector, but it was a kid\'s movie fergodsake!

\"I\'ll make you a prince... a prince of STENCH!\"

Swordwind - I believe Darth Vader was voted the best film villain of all time a few years back in the same poll which crowned Atticus Finch as the best film hero.

agreed. Bowie was good in that very odd role. It was not intended to frighten adults (probably not actually intended to frighten children either).

Come to think of it, I thought the evil wolf in The Neverending Story was cool. Great glowing eyes.

GreenOne

I paint my thumb.
I think David Bowie\'s King of the Goblins is a classic, one of my favorite Villain of all times...
And the nothingness.. well, that\'s not really a Vilain... It would be like saying Pollution is a Villain.

Did you notice, shitty Villains come frommostly old movies... expect for Anakim Skywalker.. odd lol

i think why davcid bowie was so not scary was because of beign able to see his unit through those tight pants all the time. and it must have been cold the entire time. cause man it was small. when i saw that movie it scared the crap out of me .. not because of the goblins but because of the goblin kings unit. *shudders*

What about the villain from john carpenter\'s ghosts of mars? I\'m pretty sure he doesn\'t do anything on screen other than yell and look goofy, get beaten up, lit on fire, and then blown up.

The same can be said for Lutz (FIND THE HALFLINGS!). But at least Ghosts of Mars guy inspired the Reavers in Firefly.

Aw, crap. Now I can\'t get \"Magic Dance\" out of my head.

My first thought was to say Jeremy Irons in \"Dead Ringers\" but I can\'t remember enough about the film to say whether it was good or bad... all that\'s left in my mind is \"evil twin gynecologist.\" ??? Surely that\'s enough.
