Hey guys I know its kinda early to be thinking about xmas BUT this year i wana get people mini based presents based on something that person likes for the people who are dear to me.

Starting with my lovely girlfriend, she has been there for me always and i wana get her something thats really true to her, so im basing it on the twisted vision of traditional fairytales as she used this for a brief she did on a uni ad campaign. I was thinking of something from the tale of war line? If anybody knows of a UK stockist that would be really great and helpful.

Next up is her brother, he is a nice and genuine guy and is always interested in everything that i am doing mini related. the mini for him i am still undecided, he really likes clint eastwood so the hasslfree model frank cisco, also though he is a big fan of \'the flash\' and also rorsharch from the watchmen and finally Mike Myers so if there is anything that relates to these that would be a great help.

and finally my best friend, a big anime fan (cowboy bebop/akira) tarantino fan and finally frank muller fan so again anything related to these would be great.

For the brother in law(ish). Maybe a brush, some paints and an unfinished fig? Or do you think he is THAT interested?

For the GF, there was a line fo mini\'s for a game called \"fairy meat\" that was all about twisted fairies killing each other. No other info for you but they might work? If not then maybe some trditional Klocke fairy painted up differently might do.

For the Tarantino Miller et all fan you could go a couple fo different ways. I\'d go with some hasslefree stuff, they\'ve got a Snake Pliskin mini (Not either of those, but if he likes Miller/Tarantino he like Escape from new york), an actual Marv Sin City mini, and all sorts of zombie mini\'s and things. Have a look!

Failing that, maybe the new soda pop mini things will spark their anime fancy? Good luck!

Cheers for the replies so far, I had thought of Harby from hasslefree as Marv, and my mate does really like Marv but i was thinking of maybe doing him with the bed and the dead Goldie so any slave/dead girl mini companies?

Also any companies that do anything with the killbill style range or even pulp fiction style? Would love Samuel L and Travolta piece.

I think for the GF and the twisted nursery rhyme style I\'m gona go for Tale of war\'s Red riding hood and wolf.

My brother in law (so to speak) does like mini painting but is admittedly crap at it hence why i wana paint him up summat real nice, nothing anywhere that resembles rorscharch or mike myers?

Right I have bought for my GF the red riding hood and wolf from tale of war and while browsing Arcane i found the cyborg 2020 mini by andrea AKA the terminator my GF\'s brothers fav film character near enough so Frank Cisco will have to wait but that link freak was bril cheers

One left and i think its gona be marv, also picked up three cans of grey primer lol

Don\'t forget that HF have several models of nekkid slave girls in provocative postures too! Could give you some more Goldie options.

i did look at the hasslefree ones first but they look like they would be too difficult to convert, shame as they are better sculpts imo

Cheers again guys for the ideas, looked at the hasslefree site and think i found a good one, its not the doppleganger of goldie but the pose is the best i have found so far, hardest thing will be painting the black/white colour scheme, anyone know of any good tutorials about it or have some hints?

Ordered a few pieces as i said just waiting for them to arrive now then will chuck them up into the WIP section, Gona order the hasslefree figures in the next few days too.

One last question any ideas on a company that kinda do furniture etc? Just for the bed and maybe a chest of drawers on the Marv sin city piece.

Is the mini for your girlfriend supposed to be romantic/special? Because if you paint one for her and her brother, than you are kinda putting her in the same box as her brother.
You say she has been there for you for a long time, so why not paint her a model and get an unpainted model for the other two.

It will just make her mini more special as you\'ve taken the time to paint it just for her.

I like your thoughts Oden, but the key difference is the mini for my GF is aside to the other presents she gets haha.

Where as for the other two it is their sole present. As well as this though its a trial for me as I am going to be painting out of my comfort zone. As the mini\'s based on their interests I probably would never paint for myself, and I have the time deadline to make sure they get finished.

But I defo get where ya coming from
