wow strange, its a bit hard not to theres so many posts, and i enjoy seeing how peoples models come along, I think i might buy some WH40k metals just for fun

Look at some of the tutorials, maybe those can help you.
For a start it looks like you havent done a smooth indercoat. This will show up in the end product.
Next you need more light on the front of the mini so we can see whats going on.
OK the bits I can see the Gem is top notch love it.
The skirt the line needs tidying up and the skirt needs some shading. Can really see the metals so I cant help you there.

I noticed on you GD mini that there seems to be little chips everywhere, just like on this........
how do you hold the model when you paint it? My guess is you use your fingers and hold the model itself, and the primer breaks off and wears away?
in which case the most important thing you can do find something to attach the model to while you paint it.

for a holder, I use an empty 35mm film cannister up turned and either use bluetac or superglue to attach the slotta base to the cannister. When the mini is finished, I can squeeze the canister and it bends slightly and the mini just pops off........
If you look at my Standard Bearer, he\'s attached to one. I\'m not sure but it looks like Tidoco uses a white one and bluetac....(?)
And in this digital age, just go along to Jessops and ask if they have any empty ones. My local one grabbed a black binliner full of them, and I just took a few handfuls for nowt. Uselful to store things in too.

Yes......you can tip it up so you can reach awkward places, resting the mini on some sponge from a mini blister. The problem with the Standard Bearer is cos of the flag, if I tip him up he falls off due to the weight :flame:
An alternative is a mini drill pin pice thingy from GW - these have a flat \"handle\" one end. A mini that is pinned in the foot can be inserted in it and held by the pin-vice. The flat end means it can be kept upright when you finish.
