I agree, that the snow is not smooth, but I like it better this way. It has some texture to it making it more dynamic for me.
The water from the side looks cloudy. I don't know if it is because you wanted it this way or if it's not fully cured yet. But MassiveVoodoo just released a tutorial on it and it seems, that there is a gloss-like product for making it clear(er).
Plus it's probably just me, but I'd darken the bases of the stones a bit more with 1-2 blueish-black glaze.
Are you thinking I should add some more against the rocks/trees?
Snow looks pretty good to me, but I agree with Maxxxx that the rocks in the water seem a little to bright of blue.

Agreed..those are supposed to be ice chunks..I reviewed the tutorial on how to do them and have to DB white over them again..
View attachment 57949I didn't meant those, but the rocks on the top. To have a bit bigger contrast in value between the bottom part of them and the rest. will do a quick PS image when I get home to show what I thought.
for cloudy water: it seems only the side is like that, from the top looks clear enough for me.
I still think you can make the sides clear too easily based on this tutorial: http://massivevoodoo.blogspot.de/2017/05/tutorial-proper-use-of-two-component.html

Looks great, makes me feel cold which is surely the aimed affect.
Yeah, I'd approach it almost like OSL. It looks to me like your thickest volumes at the moment are pushed up against the bottom of the triangular rock (on the right) on the top level and (conveniently) right in the middle of the lower level, but again against the right side. You see where I'm talking about? I would set that as the direction of the wind, and very selectively build up at the foot of all your various objects a little snow deposit, while leaving the sides and especially the rear free from the drifts, with more exposed earth & rock in those areas. Go slow, you don't want to mess up the nice work you've already done!
