Please vote and comment

your comments for improvement and your votes would be very welcome. Especially any advise on the blending and shading - still not as smooth (both in colour transition and texture) as i would like.

While the photo is a little small, it looks to be good work here, the green looks quite well blended. Combined with your browns and skintones it does make quite a nice piece.

I\'m not sure if I like the yellow inside the coat.

Although mostly I would like better photos :)

Wow praise from ericj.... what a great early birthsday present for tomorrow!!

I was trying to make the inside of the coat look like yellow/gold silk/satin ... the coat overall like a wax jacket or a dryzabone...

The blending isn\'t as good on the yellow as on the green of the coat so i\'ll probably redo it... any suggestions? I thought perhaps a darker shade of the coat itself, almost a dark grey/green?

As to pictures... am still experimenting with my digi camera, so apologies if they are not great, i was actually reasonably happy with these ones :(

Hi,

One of he things you should work, it\'s his face. He\'s got an inexpressive face (may be it\'s because of the sculpture too?).

Naoned, your Avatar rocks my socks off.

Brandlin, very nice mini, for some reason I immideatly thought of Jack the ripper ;) I have to agree about the face though, it looks a little... bland. I am not sure about the mouth, it looks as if he doesn\'t actually have one, just a little grove in his face... looks more like a beak to me at the moment. Maybe pronounce the mouth more and add a little darklining where his leg meets the coat. Still it\'s a very good mini. I voted 8.

I sort of like the almost featureless face, I think it sort of fits the rest of the piece :) But that said, probably a little more definition wouldn\'t hurt.
