Damn it! Just couldn\'t resist all that wonderful Rackham cheapness! Bought one of everything Daikinee, and a smattering of Cynwall and Wolfen to flesh out what I already have. Eeep! My bank balance will... probably thank me actually, since it was pretty much what I was planning to do, but for full price from R\'s store. Nice one Matty!

have you guys seen how much confrontation stuff is on ebay at the moment lol
this is like christmas come early (apart from the situation with rackham of course, i feel sorry for the employees as working there with an uncertain future must be bad)

Shame.. I hope it will be alright in the end. I think they are making som terrible bad decisions atm. IMO they seem to alienate core customers and get new ones who aren\'t brandfaithful. The old.. grow to death syndrome. Even if at-43 saves them now the inevitable downfall in sales after a year or two will probably mean that they end up in the same situation and be aquired by some big shot for their IP.
Well.. it seems like the downfall for the Rackham I liked is around the corner.

It\'s a bit of a free for all allright.. thing is half the models been sold will be worth a bit soon when they aren\'t made anymore.....
although nowhere near as big as GW this should be a warning to them especially the don\'t piss off your regulars and brand loyal fans...It\'s easy to forget in the grand scheme of things only a very small percentage of people on the planet collect miniatures so any company should always be wary.....

Me too, but I don\'t have the maturity that you do to restrain myself. Crazy spending is just too apealing!
It does all sound a bit gloomy for Rackham right now. I know from experience how miserable mass redundancies can be, having gone through it several times during my GW employment. Even if you don\'t loose your job you kinda feel bad about it because others have (there\'s nothing worse than having to compete with your colleagues because the three jobs that used to be there have become one) and the mood tends to be awful for a good while due to the uncertainty.
The artists and sculptors are all pretty talented though. I imagine they will be able to find someone else interested in their talents.

[/smug mode]As long as I can paint up what I\'ve got now, and maybe have the odd game with someone accomodating, I\'ll be happy I think.
Edit: It does really suck for the artists and sculptors, tho. All that hard work, and then it goes down the tubes thanks to some poor decision-making from the top. Does anyone have a translation for that statement someone linked, btw? My French isn\'t that great...

Got my rackham stuff today. very nice. Unfortunately it appears they ran out of the dark familiars set. I guess more people were taking up the offers faster than the database could reset the stock availability.
