Worse, it was worse, I tell you! It... it... it was... it was... nothing! lol

Might as well elaborate: it was a night dive, and we\'d seen all sorts of really cool things. We were the last three, and my air was running low, so my buddy stayed with the divemaster while I went up to do my 5m decompression stop alone. It was just me, underwater at night with my torch and a bouy, and I was cool as a lemon. Till I decided to deal with my fears by turning my torch off. That was when I saw the swimming football coming straight at me...

Oddly enough, I love diving with sharks - they have regal grace and magnificence beyond compare.

did a similar thing myself and it was a rather unnerving experience but rewarding as well....as for having my mask knocked off by a moray eel at 15m that scared the crap out of me damn swines....

what scares me the most the thought that chavs could run the country if they ever worked out how to vote...and windows at nightime.....

Fear itself.

Ah - HA!

Actually - I\'m scared of... Err ...

I\'m not sure really.
I don\'t think I have any irrational fears.

I\'m ok with water, heights, insects and arachnids, most animals, the dark etc...

I suppose maybe penicillin, but then - as I\'m allergic to it, that\'s not really irrational is it :p

Hmmm, fears???

Well Wasps are big on the list, got stung as a kid so anything small that buzzes and comes anywhere close to me these days sends me off in the oposite direction.

Doctors and Hospitals or even the sickbay onboard ship I just don\'t trust them and I believe it is all a guessing game to them after all why cure you when they can make a fortune out of treating the symptom instead of curing it?

Needles...I hate them with a pashion, I used to give blood on a regular occassion (rare blood group) but can\'t anymore because of the countries I have visited in the last 10 years and all the rules changes but I could never lie there and watch the needle go in. I won\'t even turn up for inoculations unless I am really forced to and if they try to inject me in both arms at the same time then they are picking me up off the floor as I need a direction to look . No problems with the dentist though maybe because the DSA/Hygenist is better looking than the docs we have...

I fear that my patients will find out that it is all a guessing game for me and that I am making a fortune treating their symptoms rather than curing them.:p

Seriously, I get very edgy on takeoffs/landings when flying. More so since 9/11, naturally.

Darkened room mirrors, I\'m afraid someone will pop out from behind the shower curtain and stab me in the trachea... Needles... Here\'s a good one- swimming in deep, dark water. I keep thinking something nasty is going to swim up and tear my legs off. The person in the window thing too, that picture freaked me out really badly. Thanks, swordwind... :|~

Enclosed showers, any showers where the curtain/glass stops me from seeing out. thats even worse than my face at the window fear.

I dunno about rewarding, \'cos I shat myself big time. There\'s something about being alone, completely immersed in water, in absolute darkness (where the darkness is best described as a void), being afraid of the big scary monster behind you, and on top of that, getting vertigo. Oh yes, I shat myself.

I\'m not sure exactly why, but I refuse to look into a mirror when I am in a darkened room.
Hmmm, come to think of it now, I don\'t sleep in a room with a large mirror in it. Indeed, what does a mirror reflect if there is nothing to reflect? It\'s got to reflect something, right? That\'s what scares me - what if it actually does reflect something?!?

Always wanted to dive with sharks, they are beautiful creatures. What sort have you dived with???
Whale, sand tiger, bull and hammerheads. Along with a couple of other quick visits, like blacktail reef and white tip reef sharks. It was all good, all of it. :)

Wasps for me. Had one in my ear for 20 minutes once, buzzing away....I was a dribbling mess once someone actually caught me while i was running like a loony screaming \'Getitoutgetitoutgetitoutgetitout...\'

The mirror thing is weird, as in I never thought about it but it definately is unnerving. I have a full length mirror in my hallway that I have to walk past to get tot he bedroom. If the lights aren\'t on I definately get a creepy vibe if I catch my reflection in there!

The thought of that experience makes me want to keep parsley in my ears. Of course, it explains why you\'ve been a dribbling mess ever since. ;)

Wasp away and earphones are my friends. I look like a complete wally at BBQ\'s - I am always running off.

Walking down Biggsy\'s main at 2am in the morning, alone and blind drunk.

Dragonsreach may know biggsy\'s main, but for the rest its a tiny track which links Wallsend to Heaton and goes past a golf course, at its best its about a meter wide, and at all times you are surrounded by trees. For about 1/2 a mile. Sh!t scary.

I had one in my mouth for about 15-20 minutes once. I was in the garden eating a sandwich with orange jam and I was just about to take another bite when a wasp landed on the inside of my lip and started to munch on the sweet, sticky jam that was there. It was not in a hurry, and I had to sit still with my mouth open and just wait for it to leave. But, I\'m not afraid of wasps despite this.

I am afraid of spiders though, which is completly irrational since there aren\'t any dangerous ones, not even mildly so, where I live. I have been afraid of them all my life and I don\'t really know why. But, if I know there is no way a spider can reach me I\'m fascinated by them.

I think I would have convinced it pretty damn quick that it was the wrong bloody place to be!

Wasps should be exterminated. There are lots of things that can do their job in their place
