Things which what have happened in the life of muggins of late

I bought a car. £800. A Citroen Saxo VTR, R-reg, 1.6L, tinted rear windows and alloys. It\'s hilarious when the windows are down and Nick Drake or Super Furry Animals are playing rather than the associated bad-boy music :D

I completed a cycle ride from Brecon to Cardiff via the high Taf Fechan route, 55 miles, using the Taff trail on a mountain bike. That was \'ard.

The kitchen, extension, dining room and utility room are all sorted. They look amazing.

I bought two plastic boxes and more paints. I put lots of paints into the boxes, along with the 10 minis that I own.

I have - worryingly - gone off rugby. The game has become one-dimensional, and even the Lions tour didn\'t fully convince me otherwise. It\'s an odd feeling not wanting to get out to see the Cardiff Blues.

White wine has taken me away from red wine. Maybe it\'s seasonal.

My shifts have changed. They\'re longer but give more days off. It might just work...

I finally made a perfect cheese sauce, thick enough not to break up when in the oven and also not too thick that it congeals.

I have decided that Glasvegas are soooo overrated that it beggars belief.

I watched Anvil, Bronson and District 9 recently, and enjoyed all three films immensely.

I started this thread and have likely bored people to tears.

:D.

Thanks for the music tip, never heard Super Furry Animals.

I really liked District 9 as well! :)

It\'s a very good film and it leaves lots of questions that might be answered later by something like a prequel or sequel. And it wouldn\'t be milking it either. It genuinely warrants more in the way of explanation.

Anyone seen Bronson, the film about \'Charlie\' Bronson, the violent English fellow? God, that\'s a weird but good film.

SFA are class. Absolutely brilliant :D

Saxo VTR! Great little car. I had a Saxo for a few years and thrashed the shit out of it. It never blinked once and could take corners at obscene speeds.

Just don\'t crash in it - shocking NCAP rating! :D

It\'s like driving a little go-kart :D I have genuinely laughed out loud when cornering or going around roundabouts, just because it\'s so funny. Cracking little motor.

I think GasVegas are poo, but then I also think Nick Drake is poo too...

Super Furry Animals, meh (my wife likes em\').

My Citroen has a broken timing belt and the repair bill will be more than the cost of your car. Now that is poo! Bloody Picasso, go-cart it ain\'t!

Did it take a bunch of the valves with it? That happened to my Seat and it cost me a fookin packet... I\'m a convert to Jap motors. Brilliant cars, they last forever. Sarah\'s clapped-out 1990 Nissan Bluebird that cost 500 quid hasn\'t missed a beat yet in over 18 months. :D

The ride was Sunday last, and it was for Ty Hafan hospice. It was a corking day and took 5h 45m. Could have done it in less than 5h if we weren\'t waiting for stragglers in our team at each checkpoint :D
