Sorry to hear of your loss.

Lost my dad some 6 years ago now.

The pain does ease but there are still those odd moments where you just wish the old fellow was there for one last chat.

Really sorry to hear that, nothing anybody can really say that will help. My own father passed away 29 years ago the beginning of the week and my step father has been gone some 16 years now and one thing that I will say is that the pain never really goes away, but you learn to live with it.
