Thinned Too Much

Aside from needing multiple coats, would there be a problem if the paint was diluted a little too much...as in 2 parts water and 1 part paint? The color is purple.

Considering that mixes of 10 or 12 parts water to 1 part paint are not unheard of, I can\'t see why a 2:1 should pose a problem

Well since that\'s a normal dilution ratio the answer is no. Thinner cots are better
What you will have to be careful of is the tendancy for diluted paints to pool so a piece of absorbent material to take some of the excess water from your brush is essential.

I was trying to get a lighter and with a little red tint Liche Purple by mixing it with Ice Blue and Warlock Purple...and of course water.

After three coats, I think I like this consistency. It will take another two coats for solid coverage.
