They may not be sick. They could be your garden variety thief just need the cash. Just because she is handicapped doesn\'t mean that she can\'t be a victim.

well, I seem to be limping into this thread a bit late :D

but it really is pretty amazing the depths people will fall to for whatever reason.

Once a story like this hit\'s the news, offers of help usually POUR in. There are some really good, gererous people out there. I think there are more good ones than we imagine.

More or less happy ending...

Turns out the thieves returned the legs to the mothers unlocked car, albiet with graffitti on them....

But, at least she\'s got em back!

well thats good to hear. i think it was definately an inside job - probably some jerks she knew from school who ended up feeling guilty about the whole thing.

You say you are poking \'armless fun, you mean legless?;) On a more serious note, I agree totally with evil dave. The robber(s) are the sort of people who should be locked up in a dark cell far away from anyone. How heartless and sick can you be?:mad:
