The lizzzard
I know many of you will probably not think much of this but I am very proud. It has no votes yet but I think it will get that mythical 8.
Explaination of work:
This is my first attempt at taking a real life pattern from nature and putting it on a mini. The paint scheme was inspired by a bad picture of a horny toad lizzard. When I was painting him I was thinking maybe all the blends were a bad idea but they really made the mini. I\'ll use more blends from now on.
Anyway, there are 7 blends just to get the appearance right. I swear it is like having a lizzard with a little saddle in your hand. Stuff that probably will not get noticed are things like the really subtle grey on his back and the VERY subtle blend on his snout. Also I have read all over the place that putting a large image spells doom for my score. BUT I want to share all the colors.
I know he doesn\'t have the high contrast style of shading that is ever popular so even though I think he is superb. I am sure I\'ll get a 6 or 7. Since my current goal is to get an 8. If you think it is a 6 or 7 can you tell me why?
I have never seen a mini, my own or owned by anyone else that has been so convincing to me. However, I realize that I may have a bias towards this peice. What do you think?
