Sorry Astonia.. I had to :D

Anyways.. I finished this mini a couple of days ago, and I\'m really happy with it. It was also done quite quickly(8 hours) so I couldn\'t fit somethings I wanted, like a freehand border inside the cape. I painted it for my friend and returned it yesterday :D I\'m also really happy about the black, I tried out a new technique(borrowed from the_alleycat) with adding turqoise to the black for highlights :)

In my opinion the face and hair could use some more highlighting. Also the sword looks a bit too flat, maybe some shading or washing with dilluted black paint could solve this...

But these are only details; the most important part of the mini, the cloak is done perfectly! I\'d love to have seen some freehand on it :D

Great job. My score = 8.

I agree...

with what Corvus said.

I kind of like the cloak being so plain. It seems more like a garment meant to hide his identity rather than draw attention to him...

Solid work there Calavera!

the seam of his coat says \"please insert freehand ornaments here\" so why not fall for it? :)
nevertheless a very good mini! i like the face the chainmail and his boots (thats pretty much everything you can see apart from the gown lol )

nooo! not turqoise! now everybody will be doing it...it\'s wrong i tells ya, wrong!!! nice painting though, thankfully you didn;t go all out with the turqoise, it\'s still black, not dark blue....
