i guess my biggest problem is starting on a new mini. i work on one for a while and sometimes find it hard to move on to the next on. so i sit and read and post and vote untill i get that twitch and pick up a new one.

I posted A LOT LESS when I was working on the wereshark for the Wyrd competition.

I just started painting, though, so I only posted when I first joined CMON. I remember when Marineboy first started posting I had about 100 posts. In the 2 weeks where I barely posted he\'s up to 600+ posts and I\'m just at 300!

@Marineboy - you need to start painting so I can catch up with you! :D

I post more than I should. I should be painting now but I\'m not :) .

The last mini I finished was about 30 minutes ago. I\'m waiting for the gloss coat to finish drying so I can give it a good dullcoat.

Before that it was my wereshark for the Wyrd Games comp which I finished Wednesday night. All in all it\'s been a productive week!

I go through spells where I\'m either painting all the time, such as when I get up and until I go to work and then again when I get home from work for an hour or two till bed .... or I go a week or three \'thinking\' about painting.

Heh. Usually I\'m messing with it in one form or another, whether its actually painting or cleaning, converting them.

I do spend too much time here though ..

I have to find time between full time schooling and 12-hour night shifts. Then there\'s my wife and 3 boys the endless projects on the home and on and on...However I find my biggest obstacle is that I will try to paint in spare moments. A detail here or there and then set it down. The problem begins when I see another mini that is primed sitting on my table and a certain part or line or detail catches my eye and I must paint it. Then I\'m suddenly in the middle of two or more minis and can\'t see the light at the end of the tunnel. I have to focus on finishing one at a time.

Recently just finished the Wyrd contest, but I\'ve got about 3-4 minis almost complete. Still, it doesn\'t seem that I get \"quality\" time painting...just kind of grab a bit whenever I can...

Yeah, posting does kinda eat into my painting time...or is it the other way around?

Actually got some painting done ine the early hours of the big CMoN server switch... the I got sucked into solaria2k\'s CMoN junkie support forum and my painting situation normalized...

Forums or not, I paint in waves... in periods I paint alot, in other periods not at all...hoping this is just another part of the regular cycle and not the start of another addicti...er... \"hobby\". lol

Dawn, you don\'t have to cut down on your painting to rack up your posting count.. . just cut back on all the other stuff...food preparaton, dish wahsing etc.lol

I think the forums help me get through painters block more often than it gets in the way of my painting, so it actually makes me paint more! well at least break even...well at least only cuts into painting time a little...that\'s my story and I\'m sticking to one of those, depending on how much you look like you\'ll believe me :D

I was painting last night cleaning and priming and base coating up the next project, it\'s something a little different for me :)

Well, I\'m on vacation and far away from my brushes, so I picked one up...umm...last week...ummm...sometime. :D

I find that I\'m more motivated to paint, usually, after surfing around the forum and voting and such. I\'m easily swayed that way.

You start off at the sharp end then, as you get older, you begin to move into the ever more grey areas of \'production\', \'strategy\' and \'behind the scenes work\'.

That\'s my excuse anyway:D:bouncy:

Kinda like what WotC used to term as the \"metagame\"...when you\'re doing all this stuff about the game but not actually PLAYING the game. :D
