We would be honored to have you vote for your favorite mustache in our little friendly competition.

Wasn\'t a problem, just was completely confused!!! Seems like a very spontaneous statement :D

Klute - is that how you see yourself?!?

It\'s all for fun...it\'s all for charity....

Let\'s set out to enjoy this...there isn\'t any point in doing otherwise...I am gonna have a ball and lose a lot of dosh:bouncy:

whoopee!

I would really love it however if Leopardpixie could target it a bit.....I loved that dog at first glance.....

He could move in here tomorrow, but geography intervenes.....

He\'s a cutey though and I really want him to succeed..........

It\'s been long time since I shed real tears
I\'ve cried my heart out over this poor guy however and there is nothing I can do.....:(
I can appreciate every single one of your sentiments and feelings on this. There is no creature that tugs me like dogs do, and that\'s why I too wished to give him a home when I first wrote a comment on this pic. But believe this; Miss Pixie and her colleagues have done everything for him already. No, there is nothing that either you or I can do, because it\'s been done already. It would indeed gratify my heart and soul to be the person to gain that puppy\'s trust, but it\'s being done already, by Miss Pixie and friends.

I think what I am trying to say is that he is Miss Pixie\'s charge, and you should let her have him.

Hey guys, sorry to burst your bubble.....

Hey, since you guys won\'t know me from Adam, I\'m LP\'s fiancée. The dog has already been operated on and is doing fine, the county animal services brought him in, they just found him in LA, and have no idea who shot him. She said he\'s a very sweet dog, but sadly any money you guys raise won\'t do anything. The doc she works with is a very nice guy and most likely did the surgery very quickly since he does really care for the animals. In a few days the dog will go back to the county shelter, and if no one adopts it within a week or so, it will be euthanized. So, while all of you guys trying to raise money for it is a really great idea, and I\'m sure LP really appreciates the fact that you guys all care, the best thing anyone could do is if anyone that lives in Southern Cali sees this and wants to adopt a really sweet pit bull, that would be the best thing to help the poor guy. Sorry if this is a buzzkill for you guys, but I just thought I\'d let you guys know what\'s going on.

No, Sithtainius, I really think you said the right thing. :) That\'s pretty much what a cynical and pragmatic twit like me was expecting anyway. :(

It\'s great to see that so many people care about a poor pup that they\'ve only seen in a picture, but he doesn\'t need any money, just a good home. So like I said, anyone in So Cal looking for a good dog, I can tell \'em where to find one. eerr.....we can tell \'em where to find one.

On a lighter note....

To try and bring this conversation back to comedy....

I agree with MarcusTay, women should be allowed to compete....I was delivering in Compton the other day, and I swear to you I had one package for a women with a gotee.....I was having a hard time keeping eye contact, I kept wanting to stare at it.....

Yes that is James :D And I\'m pretty much going to say the same thing.

The dog is fine. It had surgery yesterday. I am unsure of when it will be sent back to the animal shelter. Probably will be sent back tomorrow or Monday. All medical bills are taken care of for the Dog. So no need to raise money for it. Since my work is located across the street from the animal shelter we do a lot for them and go above and beyond what they pay us for services. Especially for cases such as this. All I can say is try to find a loving home. To have someone adopt him. He will go back to the shelter soon. Some times they have pictures of animals on the site for adoption. But I am unsure if they will put this Lil Guy up there. He was picked up in the Los Angeles area, or so I was told by the officer that had picked him up. The animal shelter is Los Angeles Animal Care and Control. Located on Garfield Ave.

Do they put them down after a while for space reasons, or monetary reasons? If it\'s money... i\'m sure CMoNers could fill the bill untill a home for him comes around.

if it wont help him, there is still a \"make a donation\" link there, and you can do it in memory of somebody...

oh...and im working on a suprise for you all....

@itchy: it\'s a mixture of the two. the shelters don\'t have enough space to keep all the strays, or money to build more and keep up with all the costs that having all of those animals would require. I hate to sound like a PSA but it would really help if people would spay and nuter (god I can\'t spell, sorry) their animals. That\'s really the only solution. Well, that and finding a nice deep dark hole for all the friggin\' morons who decide that they don\'t want their pets anymore and just find random street corner A to drop it off at.

Well, it\'s a shame i say. Got my dog at the pound and around here they MAKE you get the dog fixed (easier to spell :)) before they\'ll let you adopt. Maybe i need to go on a bit of a road trip and pick up a buddy for Rufus?
