This one makes my head hurt...

The Escher Waterfall steps is done strictly through controlling the angle of the camera. If you changed the point of view it would look very strange indeed. Well done. Games magazine did a tutorial/explanation around 20 years ago on how to achieve this effect with many different Escher-esque concepts.

The Eldar character is fantastic as well, I think I already gave it a 10 earlier.

Ok Got to say I don\'t like it.

Well Painted ....YES.
Well Sculpted/Converted ....YES
But to be honest, generated a \'Meh\' from me.

As it was stated earlier, if you moved the camera, it would look a bit odd, would just be a stairway to nowhere.
As a scenery snob, I\'ve got to say it\'s not all that well painted, no highlights, no shades, no weathering. I\'m probably being too tough on it, since it\'s clearly not meant to go on a gaming table at any point.

All of that being said, the actual engineering of the thing is fantastic, and would have taken alot more thought than you probably think.

http://www.hirstarts.com they have instructions for making several classic buildings, extra pieces for modifications, and Bruce has some videos to show step by step of some things like making the blocks, assembly, and painting terrain.

if you try remember to read about the different types of plasters. i would try but $40 per mold is a bit much for me right now unless i knew someone was gonna buy the finished terrain.

If I remember correctly Abaroths staicase has full interior detailing like suits of armour in one of the corridors and a study with bookshelves and a desk etc.

Here\'s a link to better pictures on Voidgamers

@shadzar - I think you kinda missed my aim here. I\'m familiar with Hirst arts and I\'m with you on your remarks about them...what I wanted to see though was how the creator of this piece created the Escheresque illusion with the stairs in the piece. If you missed it, look again \'cause it\'s really quite impressive. It\'s one thing to see in in 2D in Escher\'s picture, but to see it in 3D kinda threw me.

Here\'s a pic showing the end of the stairs. It makes it easier to see where the \"join\" occurs.

acutally i was looking at the supersize of the one found here and notice the top left corner wall. how one row of bricks doesn\'t line up with the next in the corner of that wall. the left side is lower than the top. i do like how the drawing is on the table in mini form inside the mini itself. now thats small!
