I\'m backing up the big man here. This is nominally an adult site and if people can\'t take a bit of a dig (especially from someone they\'ll never meet) what\'s the point in putting their work forward? I\'ve said this too many times to expect people to care, but a rating system is - by its very nature - a harsh process. When we\'re allowed to add comments, it\'s becomes a lot harsher again. The site\'s aim initially was to rate figures on how cool they are. That still applies. It\'s only because of the site\'s evolution that it became more than that. But even then, those who share and encourage are a small minority here out of the full membership and they mostly inhabit the forums. Just because these guys and girls have made a community based on assistance, don\'t expect the knock on effect to reach the large majority who are here for what the site was originally for: rating, commenting and nothing else.

Fair enough, but I still can\'t see what anyone has to gain from making, receiving or reading that particular comment. It\'s not a question of harsh critique or scoring, just why leave an inane insult? Who benefits from that?

If someone\'s goin to make an effort (no matter how small) to do something like leave a comment, there must be some reason behind it. The reason could be as simple as \"I thought it would be fun\" or \"I want everyine to see how witty I can be\", I guess I\'m just a wondering kind of guy, looking for those deep answers to life\'s big questions...

If you could answer the questions you just put forward, you would be the most enlightened person on this planet. Human behaviour is crazy stuff to try and comprehend. It\'s hard enough trying to come to terms with ourselves/why are we here/where are we going without having to deal with other people\'s behaviour. Step back from the edge, man! lol

EDIT - Just had another look at the comment and the title of the entry, kind of see what the joke was supposed to be now, a clever pun on the \"single figure\" contest title rather than a blatant insult - if that\'s the case I apologise for calling him an arse :redface: although as a joke it didn\'t really work.

Unhelpful and stupid comments will of course always be here as there will be unhelpful and stupid people (for whatever reason). You will have to try to ignore them, and stick to the good people just as IRL. I\'m not saying it\'s easy.. and I\'m not saying this is a bad rant. But that is a thing that is very hard to change. We have to learn to deal with it.
