I go to the local Games Workshop a lot and it tends to get annoying being there on vacation or on weekends or fridays because of those idiots kids who come in the shop and do stupid things such as make retarted remarks like \"I love these games! oh look! that guys so cool!\" I\'m talking about those kids who come in and pick up the models from the learn to play games and start acting like their action figures and break them and run off or the ones that mess up your entry for a painting contest by messing with you physically and mentally while your painting. I say: give us nerds licenses to beat up annoying retarted kids.

I would have to say it depends how stupid they are, they have the intellect of a 4th grader in a senior-that\'s-stuck-in-algebra-one\'s body. otherwise, they\'re usually younger than me by a year or 2, but I still have the right to be pissed. lol

You are going through the phase most of us do..that is...just visiting GW stores to collect essentials Thay are not places I would want to linger for any longer than necessary.

I agree that age doesn\'t matter and all, but these kids have no passion towards the hobby, they come in to mess the shop up and to try to pick fights with GW employees and customers. One came in and picked up 3 of my space marines and broke them in half and then just left. that\'s what I meant by this topic.

Well, that would make me really cross too.
A lot of people don\'t understand the pleasure some of us get from painting and wargaming with miniatures...Everybody here will have experienced that in one way or another...I think the shop you were in should have made good your loss as they clearly don\'t seem to be able to control the environment as they should.

i think finnn will agree with me here that in england we have a small minority but growing type of people called chavs.as soon as they step into my store they are asked to leave becuase it will end in something been stolen,broken or them insulting customers

@james - yeah, those are the people that I\'m basically talking about, \'cept their usually in high school. The college people don\'t tend to come into the shop because they know that if they step foot in the shop, they won\'t be in the mall ever again, the high school kids that mess around and are \"chavs\" are too stupid to know that\'s gonna happen.

@cookster - not little kids, high school students, though some little kids get annoying, but, they don\'t break anything. Only on one ocassion has a little kid stolen anything, and it was because his mom was a high school drop out and he was 3. He took 5 genestealers because his mom thought it was a table where you can take sample miniatures, it was actually an intro gameboard. lol , it was funny because the manager immediately bolted out of the door and came back with \"all\" the \'nids and counted them and found out that the lady had kept 2.

If you know they wont control themselves the YOU need to take precautions when around them. If you know a situation to be dodgy then you are forwarned and need to adjust accordingly. Sux to have to adjust for them but that\'s life in the big city.

2) Buy a tazer - no permanent damage and still a great example

the biggest incident with my minis at a LGS was some 1 saying \"wow look at that biovore\" when i first started painting and everything looked like crap.... i wounder what that kid would say now? but yeh i could drop my stuff off at gw leave and itd still b there when i get back... biggest fight was 2 kids argueing about what charactor would win IRL.... we just watched and laughed then reminded them its all \"fake\" and told them to quiet down....
