There is your problem right there, the GW stores cater to kids the ones around here do birthday parties for kids like Chuck E Cheese. It is the main reason I never go to their stores to play. Well that and the fact their stores are tiny and have topns of mall traffic comeing through.

Well, thats kind of rude. Thats part of the imagination. You know, the fun part. i bet a lot of people (older maybe) had the \"Who would win in a fight; Superman or the Hulk?\" conversations.lol

... biggest fight was 2 kids argueing about what charactor would win IRL.... we just watched and laughed then reminded them its all \"fake\" and told them to quiet down....

we would have let them go at it all day if they hadnt been yelling

I\'d have all kids shot. Failling that, I\'d have them at least heavily anaesthetised.

I\'d then embark on a program of neutering anyone wearing a baseball cap.

I also have a solution for those with irritating (and LOUD) ringtones on their phones. Suffice to say it would involve them dropping their underwear to answer a call.....:D

Don\'t be so sure that it would be a solution, Munkie. Their non-Burberry cap wearing cousins are already wearing their pants around their ankles. Don\'t entice them! lol

If some snot nosed brat deliberatly broke 3 of my space marines they wouldnt have a hand left. It would be crushed under a very large and heavy Archaeology textbook.

And I\'d stand over them with a bat as they repainted it with thier knackered hand, hitting them every time them made a mistake, until they got it back the way it was.

id be stoked to see more young people in to the hobby
(id still break fingers if they touched my minis). in \"SLO\" all of the gamers are older (for the most part) the hobby companies around here are hurting.

@the people- I really do take precautions now, if I see a chav walk in the shope, I put my marines in the tackle box and lock it, and I do paint at home now, I really just go in every once and a while to get some advice and highlight something with a color I don\'t have at home, I usually go in, get my esentials, ask Ken about how to use them properly, and leave. If I stay in the shop for longer then 15 minutes, I usually have a hobby knife and supergule near by. My method is if a chav comes near me, I\'ll be holding the hobby knife up as a warning, if they start bothering me, I\'ll throw some superglue onto their hands, no one really cares about that because it prevents trouble. and it teaches them a lesson. lol. They actually don\'t hold birthdays at the one by me, its too small. I actually am going back there today to get some paint. I only will be back there again in may for the rouge trader.

Hardware stores that have premade signs for - For Sale, Garage Sale, No Trespassing etc are made of sheet styrene. You can also try online a company called Evergreen Hobbie Supply. Or if you are in the States, Tap Plastic\'s cant be beat. They have EVERYTHING.

I also hit up a local used CD store for the old plastic divider cards that seperate one band\'s CD\'s from another and got a TON of them FREE.

when i was with gw there was never any trouble in the bolton store during any of my shifts.

a lot of known trouble makers wandered in, took one look at me and walked out.

it\'s quite funny realy as i would rather talk than fight.lol

Well, I have two local shops. One sounds a lot like the GW stores on the weekends with tons of kids just hanging out and not buying anything. They\'re usually there for the CCG\'s and RPG\'s, and don\'t play the \"mini\" games, but they are more then willing to pick-up everybody\'s figures off the tables, even while in play. The summer time is so bad there that I don\'t ever bother going.

The other store has a policy of \"No one under eighteen unless accompanied by an adult\". There are one or two exceptions, involving VERY mature 16 or 17 year olds that the store owner knows personally, but otherwise the place is \"child-free\". That doesn\'t mean it doesn\'t get noisy; grownups argue over weather a certain unit has LOS or that their lev14 Warrior would kick someone\'s lev16 Rogue\'s arse, but at least no one\'s breaking or stealing anything (99% of the time, anyway).

Obviously the second store is my place of choice, but the owner like\'s the existance of the other store because it acts as a \"filter\" of sorts, and whatever \'kids\' are still serious about the hobby by the time they are 18 eventually wander over to HIS shop.

:D;)

No offense Chris, but a Six foot Shaven Headed, Foot long Bearded guy, who looks like the Archtypical \"Hells Angel\" does have a tendency to make even Bolton\'s townies think twice. :)

Besides which you know trouble only happens when Paul & I are there.
What\'s our count now, something like 6 Shoplifters caught and one serious Donnybrook? :)lol

Ok, I\'m in the states, where can I get just plasticard? I heard you can buy it in packs from places like Lowe\'s. The one time no truoble makers come in is when Bill is there, Bill is a 5\' 6\" angry dwarf. If you put him in power armor, he would be the most frightening nurgle marine of em all! lolololol lol

My LGS has a huge rack of it in the model railroad area... check that sort of thing. Or search online for \"sheet styrene\" (more common name in the States I believe)

I paint at home too. The game shop I go to to game is usually all adults with maybe 1-2 kids. Everyone looks out for each other\'s stuff when kids are there tho, so it\'s usually not bad. (Besides, any kid with the patience to paint minis is usually calm enough to be around things.)
