Thunderfire Cannon and Techmarine WIP

Hi CMoN. Here's my latest project:

The parts have been cleaned as well as possible and I've already epoxied the main cannon. One thing I noticed that there were some big gaps in the barrel and the rear part of the cannon didn't fit too well.

A little more work needs to be done on the gaps, but at the moment, I'm waiting for the epoxy to harden. This is something that I hope will be enjoyable to paint.

Cheers!

I've put together this model in the past. My cannon had problems with gaps as well. Had to fix them with some green stuff and some files/sand paper. I found this model interesting to paint, was a lot of fun in the end.

Looking forward to how yours turns out.

Finally, an update. :)

The first 2 pictures show a base coat of Vallejo black on the cannon and the next 3 pictures show my initial attempt at a rust-like effect. A layer of Vallejo Gunmetal Metal, then a wash of Games Workshop Ogryn Flesh, and a light drybrush of Mythril Silver.

The last 4 pictures show what I have done but the mini is still far from done. Any C&C is appreciated.

Cheers!

Now that I've had a look at the pics, I'd have to agree with you so adjustments will be made. Thanks for the advice. :)

My client was happy and I had fun painting this mini. There is still much to improve on, so please let me know which areas to work on if you see anything. Thanks! :)

Cheers!

the blue on the cannon really pops but as cheelfy said some highlights on the edges would make it less flat looking, techmarine's really goodthe blue again seems really vibrant i would tone it down so it contrasts with the lovely red armour.
overall a nice job the client should be well chuffed.
