Thunderhawk Gunship!!! (metal) What's it worth?

Well as the title says, anyone know the going rate for the Thunderhawk

My mate has one, which he is never going to put together

It's the original all metal release in the wooden box, complete with the numbered certificate, it's still mint, never been assembled and I doubt it's ever seen much daylight since it was bought, which was about a week after release, if memory serves (which sadly, it doesn't always, thought I'd get that in before anyone else :smile-big:

there's currently one on Ebay it's up for £400, this about right?

Original price was around that IIRC.
I would have expected that to be the STARTING price at the least.

Well, a 'standard' thunderhawk comes at £375 from forgeworld. This is a limited, all metal, numbered, and so on one. I'd say £500 at the very least. Or, indeed, a starting bid of £400, with reserve.

Wouldn't surprise me if the one on Ebay goes higher in the last minute of the auction, you know what its like...

A word of warning it is apparently an absolute bitch to put together by all accounts and requires wall supports and all sorts to keep it together.

That is a presentation model, never meant to be built.
It is for the collector, just like their Master Paint Brush Set. The hinged wooden box with 5 mediocre Sable brushes, brush soap, embroidered cloth and Brass Bolter shell water cup for $180. Was really happy that I won one at a model contest and displayed it at home. After a while I sold it, I knew I would never use it. The $160 got me stuff that I could actually use.

we have one at my LGS and supposedly its never broke
so i dont quite know what they put it together with but everyone agrees that 1) its way to heavy to use game wise and 2) they said they would never do another all metal one.

As I recall, a two part epoxy is the best for putting these things together
