TIME TO VOTE - Wereshark WYRD Painting Contest

Well...

...I was going to post that I finally got around to buying and working on the Wereshark, but our wireless network went down here at the house and I\'ve been without an internet connection all day. I can see Grumb has already told everyone! :D

I was actually very excited about my idea and worked on it all day. Converted the arm - was worried about it until Grumb came home and told me I did a better job than he did! Now the scary part - painting it!!! It\'s primed and ready to go - I\'ll work on it tomorrow as I\'m exhausted and going to sleep! *sleepy smiley here*

This is gearing up to be a fun competition. Huzzah! Well, just got my sharky in the mail yesterday. Haven\'t taken him out of the blister yet, but I can see some pretty wicked mold lines. If it\'s worse after I pull it out, that\'ll be some work! :p

Bumping this as people have missed it apparently (such as Corvus in his thread about Painting Contests).

Anyhow, seems people are starting to get to work on their sharks and I\'ve seen a bit here and there in peeks and I have to say some of you are getting damn creative. Makes mine look like a sad attempt ... bah!

Got the Reaper prize package in today, filled with goodies and more than I bargained for to tell the truth.

Anyhow, tonight or tomorrow, I\'ll be dividing it up and listing what catagory gets what prize.

One thing I can note is that all three catagories will get a 72MM Soffie and a Reaper Key Chain, after that, its down to miniature blisters and a few posters.

Got my sharky partially assembled now. Just gotta slap it with green stuff and work on some of the extra stuff I\'m adding on.

Alrighty, the package from Reaper Miniatures has come in and they have been VERY cool with their prize package and thus it has allowed for more \'Random Schmuck\' prizes.

Here is what has been posted on the Wyrd Games website.

Prizes and Swag!

Everyone loves to get them and with Reaper Miniatures generousity, you are going to get some great ones. As a matter of fact, Reaper was so giving with their product, that instead of one \'Random Schmuck\' prize, there will now be seven! More to spread around and a better chance to pick up some swag! Due to this, I am going to change how the prizes are given out slightly.

The winners of BEST OF SHOW and BEST BASE/DIORAMA will be allowed to choose two items of their choice from the list below, no duplicates (meaning you can\'t choose two Sofies or two ultra cool keyrings). A Warlord poster as well as the latest issue of Casket Works will be included for the winners of these two catagories.

After the selection has been made by the catagorie winners above, the remaining items will then become prizes for the \'Random Schmuck\' which now has been expanded to include seven individuals. The winners of these will be selected randomly. The Random Schmuck prizes will be selected RANDOMLY by me, not by the winners.

Winning something just got a whole lot simpler!

The items to to choose from by the catagory winners and from which the random prizes will be selected from are:

1. (3) Three 72mm Sophie the Succubus (Reapers Lovely Mascot!)
2. (4) Four Reaper metal quick release keychains with company logo skull and Warloard runes on back.
3. (1) One Warlord Blister with Data Card - Nasithe, Dark Elf (14078)
4. (1) One Warlord Blister with Data Card - Fatima (14048)
5. (1) One Warlord Blister with Data Card - Leisynn, Chaos Wizard (14060)
6. (1) One Warlord Blister with Data Card - Naomi, Female Vampire (14017)

Alrightty then my chances have just improved for the random schmuck prizes. Boy O do gotta say though that this little bastard has a whole bunch of nasty little mould lines.

I have to give big thanks to Becca and Tracy for having sent Arthur and I really clean cast miniatures. Thank you Ladies :).

OK, between Kevin (Airhead) and RedDawn they\'ve talked me back into this. Now I just have to find the time in the next two weeks to get this done... :)

lol Well, I\'m sure FF can rename one of those random prizes for your, RedDawn.

Well, I\'m ALMOST done with converting and assembling the sharky. Now I want a relatively nice day to spray primer so I don\'t have to do the bugger by hand, though it doesn\'t look like Seattle weather is cooperating. Why couldn\'t this contest be in the summer? ^_^

Still working on it...

Grumb and I worked on our weresharks until 2 am last night and then again today since about 9 or 10 am. (Woke up thinking about it.) We\'d probably still be working on them, except we\'ve got to clean the pool table off so we can play D&D in a couple of hours. :D

Well, I\'m off to buy munchies, get a movie for the kids, and think about what else I need to do for that dang shark - and knowing it\'s still gonna look like crap! Found a rough spot on the arm I never noticed until today - dang it! :flame:

Welcome to the club! I got a good casting from Tracy, but small pits and stuff keep showing up in places they weren\'t (or didn\'t seem to be) before! oh, well...
