TIME TO VOTE - Wereshark WYRD Painting Contest

Hope no one minds, but I figured I would go ahead and bump the thread back into awareness for those folks that are currently painting as there are 19 days and some odd hours (count down on website if you are that curious about it) until submissions must be received.

Some interesting ones floating about in the WIP that I\'ve seen so far. Hope it turns out good as the next set of miniatures (yup plural) are dang interesting for the contest in my opinion (Reapers \'natch).

Very strange... Having spent some quality time with my little sharky this past week, the mini looked familiar but I couldn\'t remember where I had seen it before. It was driving me crazy and I hate when that happens. But now I know where I have seen the wereshark before. (Movie Spoiler coming up, so don\'t read on if you haven\'t seen the movie).

Ok, It is Robert Benchley\'s The Creature in the Sci-Fi channel movie that is on again tomorrow night. You don\'t get a really good view of it until near the end of the movie. Anyone else recognize our little movie star?

I caught a really bad 1970\'s movie version of Lovecraft\'s Daigon one night at around 2:00 AM and there was a critter in that fairly similar to the wereshark. That\'s an hour and a half of my life that I want back.... :flame:

RedDawn and I have been working on our sharks and are both nearing completion. I\'ve got the base completed now I just have to finish the minis....

Just about done with mine myself - looking kind of neat so far I think, good bit of work to go though.

Yepper...I had to cancel gaming tonight to finish this. Problem is that I have to finish and take pics of this bugger before Friday, since I\'m leaving the continental US on Saturday morning. AAAAH!!!

I have no idea what I was thinking. It looks ok, in my oh so humble opinion, but there are some bits I\'m not too happy about. Oh well. I\'ll finish it up tonight, I\'m hoping.

Nathan, You just want the pics sent to you right? What kind of pics are you going to accept? If the answer is \"go read the rules dumbass\", that\'s fine too! lol

(laughing) I didn\'t really get too specific with the pictures as I can take any type as I plan on working on them a bit to make them a bit more cohesive (size and such).

Likely though, I should give a max size and X by X so that we don\'t have some huge boys and peeps have a chance to do what they want. Yeah, I\'ll do that this weekend and put something up.

As for the pictures, yup, just send them my direction and I\'ll take it from there.

I\'ve even ruled myself out of the \'random schmuck\' prize.

Haha! I have some trouble believing that bottom one too. But when I was looking up shark reference pics, I came across a page that described the Great White as \"the only shark that actually will leap from the water to catch it\'s prey.\" And this was at a real shark info site, although this pic wasn\'t there, it makes it more believable.

Oh I believe that part, and I\'ve had to watch enough animal planet on the TV around here that I\'ve seen it on film, it was the whole \'I\'m going to eat that fucker on the rope ladder\' that had me rolling.
