Beautiful!! Most of the time i find NNM a bit too yellow/brown or a bit too pale, or lacking brightness, but I like yours, it really looks like metal imho. Congrats!!

That looks really nice! I have really come to appreciate Tommy's stuff from following him here. The gold jet packs look awesome. Workshops are the best!

Thanks guys. Tommies course was absolutely fantastic. Easy to understand and implement and I think I learnt loads. I'd recommend it to anybody interested in NMM. The only problem with it was that I really, really want to do another course now!!

ive been sick as a dog with flu for the last 2.5 weeks and really haven't felt like painting. I have done a little though. Bit more work on the gold (the first photo made my camera s**t itself for some reason and it looks more yellow than it actually is IRL) and a little more on War. The OSL on the sword has been a bugger so far. Placing the white hotspots has been rather trying (where's Tero when I need him!)

hope you feel better man, flue in 2,5 weeks sounds like a killer!!

gold looking cool, just be sure to get rid of that mouldline on the arm. ok i had to say it. its just that i hate when great painting work gets sacked by mouldlines...

Whoops I had no idea that was a moldline, I thought it was part of the armour! I'll remove it ASAP thanks dude. Yeah it's been a bloody awful few weeks but I reckon I'm getting on top of it now though. Certainly enough to paint again

Finally shaken the cold and feel in a much better frame of mind for painting. I'd hit a wall on the flying Blood angel Marine thing (too lazy to google the proper name) so I thought I'd get back to War. More work on the metal armour. Refined the gold pauldron and continued the OSL on the sword. It's all still very much WIP at the moment and needs lots of tiding up. But I'm happy with the progress so far. Today I've also started painting one of my Scibor dwarves miners as my entry for Project Bartels, a Facebook competition where all entries are gifted to Michael Bartels of Painting Buhhda. Sone of the prizes available are fantastic but that's not why I'm doing it. I'm doing it because Michael is a great guy and done so much for the community. I'm also trying to paint a figure to a good standard as fast as I can. The dwarf will has paint brushes instead of pick axes and be painting a small canvas (no idea what yet..ideas?) 4.5 hours in so far and I'm really enjoying the process

Freakin awesome. The reds on the cloak are great and the dwarf is wow too. Also you have the correct amount of paint on the thumb to show you put a lot of effort into these guys :)

I really like what your getting to with this "nightmare" horse and his rider.
It could be cool if the dwarf would be painting a portrait/caricature of Michael ;) The golden parts are cool!! I think I am getting in love with your NMM gold.

Thanks Digg's. The cloak has had soooo many overpaints it's not funny so it's great to know it's looking ok. My thumb is a new project and actually a small part of a larger whole. In order to be better at painting i've decided to become a painting. I'm hoping i'll achieve a new prospective on the craft.

Thanks Maenas. War and Ruin are getting there and then it's the long slog of the zombies. i think I may do a few of them soon just to keep it interesting. I'm glad you like the gold, I'm really happy with turned out. NMM was a mystery to me but Tommies course was a real eye opener. Nice idea for the portrait, thank you

Cheers Mally. You've given me an idea.....

Thanks WGS. Again nice idea for the canvas but i'm now swinging between 2 choices 1) 'Paint me like on of your dwarf girls' inspired by Mally and Titanic. a nude dwarf model poses 'off cam' 2) Dwarf Bansky Banksy's identity is revealed and he's small than you think. Thoughts?
