Took me a few minutes of admiration to realize the the axe and rest of the metal parts are actually NMM. Superb work. Some of if not the best NMM I've seen. Great job overall as well.

Whoa thanks guys! This project has taught me so much about painting. Paint consistency, blending, brush control, light set up, glazes, basing etc its been so much fun :)

Fingers crossed 10 :) The Eadbanger competition deadline is Sunday night :( There's some ridiculously good entry's in my category but you never know. I'm just happy to have something to enter. I'm bringing these guys to Salute next year for sure though (plus the other 3 unfinished figures)

No update for a few weeks but I've not been ide.....photo bomb.

stunning stuff...absolutely love the windswept, bleak look of the basing and top marks for the addition of the name plaque with its cave painting style hand prints.

....and I've said it before but the replication of the Bonner illustrations style on those minis and the colour palette is incredible.

best of luck with this....you deserve something at this stage...and the prospect of this developing with the additional figures as time goes on is mouth watering.

Thank you so much guys.

Everyone's imput has been absolutely Invaluable for this project. As you all know I suffer from slow painters syndrome (It is so a real condition!) I never would have reached the deadline if it hadn't been for everyone encouraging me :) As to if it places or not, that's in the lap of the gods. Ive tried my best and I've done everything I can bar blood sacrifices (which I may learn to regret at a later date) I certainly won't be disappointed whatever the result :)

Hi Tim,

No matter what the result will be, you'll have a piece any painter will be VERY proud off to have in the showcase. Anyway, comps are so overrated : you'll have to have luck the judges love the same style you do, sometimes they give friends better points then others, etc... Most important is that you had fun working on it and you'll have fun admiring it, over and aver again. BTW, are there any medicines for the slow painters syndrome? I think I might have it, next to my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. They do seem to go hand in hand, don't they?:yawn:

A big congrats once again,

Gino(2dope)

P.S. Please do more Paul Bonner inspired work in the future. I just LOVE to watch it.

Edit: and the wife has just pointed out her massive hair right in the middle of the picture :curse!::curse!::curse!::curse!::curse!:

Lol didn't even notice the hair before, still really epic work, I hope the hair is just resting on there and hasn't become glued, I have visions of you pulling at it like a stray thread on a wool jumper :p

This is beautiful and needs to be displayed for all to see. I also like the name tag that blends into the scene. Very cool work.

Now awaits for you the extremely difficult task to come up with an even better piece!!! I'm very curious to see what you will show us in the future.
