Hey all, I\'m starting an Imperial Guard army. I\'m not the greatest painter, so I\'m wondering what paint techniques to use. I\'m doing my cadians the classic 8th cadian paint scheme(desert yellow/catachan green) as seen here:

So far I\'ve tried edging(with camo green). That\'s what it looks like they do in the codex. I\'ve also tried layering?
Edging:

Layering:

Basically I want to paint the army simple and quickish. But ofcourse I want it to look good, or even just to stand out a bit. I personally am leaning towards the edging look because it does stand out. But I\'m thinking of having a less extreme highlight from Catachan green to camo. Probably a mixture.
Anyways, I want some advice of what you think looks more decent. Or if you have other suggestions.
Thanks
