Anyone have any tips on painting flames to look like natural gas (and look good, not lame)?

Take a GW witch hunter mini as a default assumption of the size of the fire.

The bast advice I can give you is to just look at gas flames, either that or do a \'Google image search.\' That should give you a fair idea. Natural gas often has a blue base through to a yellow flame. That would be a sod to pull off. I\'ve always just gone for yellow/orange flames

After that there\'s alot of info on OSL.

There\'s some fantastic images when you google \"natural gas flame\" and you should be able to find one to emulate. I think you would do well having white (or maybe P3 Underbelly Blue) in the deepest cracks at the base, and then blend up through a vibrant blue into dark blue and finally a hint of really dark purple or red at the tips where the flame is cooling off the most.

The blue-yellow transition probably isn\'t necessary. It would also be extremely tough to pull off as these other guys have hinted :p

Looking at that image I\'d suggest starting with VMC Andrea Blue moving into White, then Yellow, Light Orange. Mixing and blending as carefully and smoothly as possible.
