They have the same law in Ottawa. Yes, there was a decline of business, however, think of all those cooks and waiters/resses that were living in second-hand smoke 8 hours a day.

They can\'t escape the smoke. I would love to see one enterprising fella open a bar where the staff wear goggles and breathing apperatus, so they can have smokers inside, plus it would look wierd.

It is truly horrible to hear that indentured servitude has once again reared it\'s ugly head in North America. One would think the enslavement of restaurant workers would be a bigger issue than second-hand smoke, but perhaps there simply isn\'t any political impetus behind emancipation any more. :(
