Today I have mainly been........ Stripping paint.

Well the last batch seen the following cleaned, some need a second soak as by the time I got to the last few my left hand was a bit sore (Wearing gloves whilst using Dettol might have been a good idea )

Only a few hundren or so more to go. ouch.

Anyone know of anything that will get rid of supper glue, whoever assembled some of these minis must have had all thumbs and shares in supper glue.

Acetone. Also the Testors liquid cement for plastic that comes with the screw top and the brush applicator works a wonder - but it contains Methyl Ethyl Ketone - so you have to be careful with it.

Cheers for that, I have a bottle of that infront of me and would never have thought of trying it.

Oh yeah, one thing I niticed when using Dettol is that the waste paint does not respond to water very well and becomes like glue on contact. You have to scrub the mini whilst in the dettol and then under warm running water otherwise the toothbrush gets realy cloggy and you end up just brushing paint glue back into the mini. WEIRD STUFF. Also dont flush the wast paint down the drain, scoop it out or filter it somehow and bin it.

Yeah, some realy nice (if not OTT) sculpts but way beyond my current painting skills to do justice to. I have a few of thes still in blister also. The one mini I realy want to try is the Jade Wizard (2nd image bottom left) and the Acolytes (next to the Wizard) but they are minus blades so I would have to learn to sculpt them first, might give them hammers.

I noticed that about dettol making the paint, particularly the spray on stuff, all gooey.On my second go I ran the mini under hot water and then put it back in the dettol to soak a while longer. Much less mess than the first time.

Thats my little finger which is just as bad as the rest of my fingers on my left hand. caused by over exposure to neet Dettol and not wearing gloves ;(

Irritating at worste due to it snagging on cloathing and feeling rough as hell.

Nothing some cream wont sort out though.

Shoulda gone to PoundStretchers (or Poundland) Pack of 50 latex gloves for a Bin lid.
