Heya,

I found the time to take a quick snap of my testmodel for my doomreaver unit :)
Still very WIP. I have almost no time for painting lately. Working every day, too damn hot too ;)

Well here he is:

Doomreaver-1FrontsmallWIP.jpg

I think the pic turned out to be ok. Better than usual at least. Skin is as good as finished, metallics and the little red part too. The rest was only basecoated to see how the scheme would work out. And I still need to blackline here and there.

I wanted a darker and more realistic scheme, instead of the flashy Khadoran red. The bloodspatters on the belly still need to be build up.

And a link to the big pic:

Hope you like. I know the belly/chest is a bit grainy. That has been pointed out before, it because of the primer. The heat and primer don\'t work well together I think.

C&C welcome

Looks nice. The base is interesting without being cluttered and the color choices are good. The mask needs something. Are you planning on highlighting part of it?

This guy also looks like he\'s got an itch in that impossible-to-reach spot on your back.

thanx,

the metals on the mask are highlighted but it doesn\'t really show. I might go back on it eventually :)

I want to do half a skull (weathered) on the mask, but I\'m not sure if I should.

Hi folks,

been a long time since I last posted something here :)

I\'m currently working on a wolfen again that I started 2 or 3 months ago.
Here\'s a WIP shot from back then:

atm all the skin is finished except for the raised arm (where I forgot to remove a moldline tucked in between the chains). And I\'m at the point of painting all the leather straps covering his body. I decided to leave them black, but now I\'m worried how to properly highlight them, without them turning grey. I never really highlighted black so, I\'m kinda new to that :D

oh and the mini is probably going to be entered at a painting comp in september, so if you see areas that need a lot of improvement, please let me know :)

And onther mini I\'m working on:

The little bumpy thing on the inside of the cloak has been taken care off, plus the inside has only had one layer of blue, that\'s why it looks a bit fonky :)

C&C more than welcome

Nice work! The only thing that I see is that the wound on his arm looks a little bright, and not that in depth, but its all good and that little part I said doesn\'t matter too much really.

The face of Ithandir looks great and the skin on the wolfen mini really looks good. There\'s some funky stuff going on with some the parts of ithandir. I don\'t know what to tell you they just don\'t look right.

Maybe it\'s the fact that some parts only have one layer on it?? like the cloth around his waist and inside of the cape?

@ Tahn: yeah the wound appears a bit bright on the pic. I need to tone it down a bit.

Thanx btw :)
