Tomb Kings: Skeleton Warriors - Bows, Spears, or Lances?

I\'m working on a new GW Tomb Kings regiment of skeleton warriors. As I don\'t actively play the game, I thought I would query the folks here to see how they like to arm their TKs. I want the regiment to look consistent. As such, what do you prefer - bows, spears, or lances?

Thanks for the advice,
Mark

Bows and spears for the foot skellies. :) I\'ve never actually played with them, but have read more than my fair share. Each serves a different purpose in the game. Archers are an absolute definite, if only to maximise use of Horekah\'s Incantation of Righteous Smiting. Spearmen are a definite too, since they form the grunt backbone of the army.

The only time that I saw definite preferences was with horsemen. Most people saying that horsemen armed with bows are useless, as they cannot perform as fast cavalry - undead cannot flee as a charge reaction.

Thanks for the advice. I am thinking of going with spears as I like the look very much.

While I am on the subject, has anyone converted the plastic standard bearer for use with a custom banner? If so, how did you affix the banner?

Thanks,
Mark

Do the foot with spears and shields. If you have a champion give his a sword that looks like the Scorpion King sword (from the return of the mummy)

The horse should have lances. I would also do a small unit of ten with bows if you have the boys left to do it.

Great. I plan on doing a unit of 16 (includes a champion, musician, and standard bearer). Looks like spears is the way to go.

Thanks for the advice,

Sorry if this is a bit late, but from the point of view of effectiveness in the game hand weapons and shields are better than spears. Spears look better though. Bows are good too, although Tomb King archers can\'t have spears or shields as well as their bows.

In game terms, I wouldn\'t give my skeleton warriors anything other than bows. This is due to the tomb kings special rule in which the archers always hit on a 5+.

The spears and shields will look good, but skeleton worriors are not going to win any combats by themselves, and the handweapon + shield option will allow them to survive longer.
