May I ask Tony what brand of calligraphic inks did you use? Do they work with brushes and dont kill them?

Also can we get a reciepe on that purple gem?!! Beauty!!

and a reciepe on the gold (Or is it still WIP?)

It\'s an italian brand: Campo marzio inchiostri

i used them because .... well i didn\'t want to buy GW ones lol

the gem is

scaly green + liche purple + chaos black
liche purple
ice blue
skull white

the metal on the archangel looks good but i have a question - me confused.

that bright hilite..is that due to the camera flash OR is that a hilite?
Since it looks good but need to make sure it\'s not the flash

For artist inks, i find the best ones are: daler rowney RW artist inks.

i hate making pics of metallics sadly is a trick of light

If I might try to add something constructive... I think your metals should be shaded more (e.g. under the arms I mean... The linings are enough between your highlites on the front, it\'d only be to improve the overall mastery of the light). They remain too reflexive in the shades. You should \'kill\' these reflexions with some black I think, there the fact that the shades stop at some purplish hue somehow disturbs me...
The gems are excellent.

Those gems are very realistic but one question..is the reflection white dots or lines as I see from the photos the trick of the lamp?

Oh and those gold metallics are marvelous man. Ancient but still shinning..Whats the reciepe for the gold metallics Tony? (Experimenting with more different approaches to metallics.)

tin bitz
brazen brass
washing with orange ink
washing with jade green
washing with brazen brass (i know it may seems strange )
dwarf bronze
washing with orange ink + purple ink
shining gold (lots of thinned times )
shining + mithril silver
