Too Hot to handle

Ok most of the people in the Uk will know what i\'m on about, i think it\'s reached about 30 degrees here (it feels like it) and it\'s not one of those abroad types of heat, it\'s the annoying clammy sticky kind of heat only those of the Uk have,

On the other hand it is perfect BBQ weather

You are quite right....

I have no intention of wandering too far away from the dark cave where I keep \'Colin\' my computer

But what was your point???

No point really, just wondered how people were coping with it here as its one of the hottest days so far,

infact i don\'t think ive ever seen a pointless thread on these forums :p

I\'m coping by wandering in and out of the house into the garden, inbibing a glass of wine and generally not being energetic.

Wearing a bikini and shorts helps of course!

Too hot to handle.........

Is a University Sports Hall full of Gamers and no air conditioning, no deoderant and in some cases (well two in fact) frontal lobotomies.

In case you\'re wondering I\'ve just got back from Leeds and the Fiasco game show. Which was actually well run and rather good retail therapy. Just Bleeding hot!

Sometimes you just wish there were showers in the entrance of certain conventions and such. Okey the smell and temperature is part of the certain \"atmosphere\" that you get.. and really your nose get used to it if you never leave the room. But anyway.. it\'d be nice.. one of my utopias.

It\'s the same thing every year. We moan about the weather cause it\'s sh**e for 10 months of the year and when it gets to summer it\'s too hot or too humid for us to cope with. Must be part of British DNA to be unable to handle any type of weatherlol

Hey, it might have been stinking hot, but I got stinking drunk. The Lions were on and the French dudes played the S African dudes at rugby. I was in a pub at 8am! Still, the takeaway curry cooled me off :D

My bikini chafes though.

Phil, you might need to loosen the ties a little if its chafing, or at least pull the pants out of your bum!

In voice of old man hanging in dungeon from \"The Life of Brian\"

Oh, what I wouldn\'t give to be in 30 degree weather.
In my day we would go out a frolic in 30 degree weather.

No, I\'m in 35.5 (96 F)degree weather now and the heat index is 38 (102 F)degrees.
And the Humidity, don\'t even get me started on the humidity.

You lucky bastards. Lucky, lucky, lucky bastards.

It\'s no wonder the English annexed South Africa. When it hits 2C (36 for the metrically challenged) it\'s **** cold. And almost never gets hotter than 35C (95F) where I stay. And humidity? What humidity? The storms clear the air really well. :p

Well it was hot enough to get the kids paddling pool out in the garden today.
That happens about once a decade up here:D
I let the kids play in it as well.

Got hot enough here a few years back that for years afterward the west side of the redwoods were dead from scorching. I can deal with alot of different kinds of weather, but, the heat blows, big time. Luckily we dont get much in the way of humidity.

whats this 30 degree stuff...

We are stubborn over here in America...No celcius for us!

And keep that metric crap too...We like odd fractions. Base of 10! HAH. We laugh at your superior systems. Give me a gallon of gas, a two by four, and some 80 degree weather, and I\'ll show you how none of us know what were talking about!.
