Don\'t forget Vike, a 2x4 actually is 1½X3½, and to cut them you need a framing square... which is shaped like a triangle. ;)

Things aren\'t supposed to make sense here, thats why Europe dumped all its loonies on these shores hundreds of years ago. lol

But... how come soda uses the metric system? ???

I prefer to think that we escaped...lollollol

The soda pop think does have me baffled...I guess a half-pint of soda doesn\'t have the same ring as a liter?

Oke the humidity isn\'t great.. clammy and such but other than that... Summer summer... bells, horns and the likes... does a little happy dance. Man I LOVE summer. I\'m one of the persons who takes kinder to hot weather then cold.
We don\'t get to much good summer days here at The Netlerlands often so I definatly won\'t complain when we do... Goes fetch herself a big glass of fruit juice and parks her butt in a summerdress on a chair, soaking in the sun (not sunbathing mind you... not enough rest in my butt to do so... boring... always need to do something.)

guess it make it easier for them to sell it in europe :p We wouldn\'t want to be buying anything that\'s in form of gallons, that\'s be like another form of america\'s desire to take over the world  :D ( Of course we still don\'t mind drinking the soda who comes from america, we are a very logical country you see :p )

But it\'s an imperial pint. So it\'s 20 of our ounces. :D

Balls, it\'s even hotter today. Thing is, we\'re not used to the heat over here. Generally people who want holidays in hot places go elsewhere as the weather here is crappy. Suddenly we get a day or two like this and it\'s the hottest it\'s been in nearly a year. That\'s nightmarish. I hate the hot hot heat!

Here\'s a bit of reverse psychology I heard of. On a hot day have something hot to drink. Your body, having something hot in it will go into cooldown mode wheras when you drink something really cold the body tries to compensate by warming itself up.........so I hear. I still want something cold.

So right now, I should be drinking an ice cold ale? Sipping on iced tea, and not thinking of climbing into a braisingly hot shower?

I think not, sir! :p I\'ll take my irish coffee without sugar, thank-you. :)

@Shawn Also a warm shower cools you as well.
I was working Tues. and it is so hot and humid here Tail end of the depression last week moisture did not help I Worked 4 hours gardening and went in thought nothing of it felt fine, 2 hours later heat exhaustion! 8 hours of vomiting and cramps and I could of hallucinated but got ripped of on that one. Gardening for a job and working outside years but never had this as a result. Even if you are used to it heat seems brutal this year in many places. I watched the tree man pass out 2 days later from the heat (glad he was on the ground at the time.)

I was talking to a British friend here in Louisiana, and he told me that you 99% of you guys don\'t have Air Conditioners.
So from now on I shall not refer to the English as \"Bleeding wimps\".lol:p

On a side note, if anyone is interested in going through the trouble of getting your money converted and getting an electrical adapter,I would be cool with purchasing a window AC unit and shipping it for you.

It\'s true. We\'ve got double-glazed windows and central heating (evil things they be) but nothing to cool us down in summer lol
