Too many minis???????

After seeing a number of threads on what people have and what people buy leave unpainted etc I was wondering is there a point when there are too many minis...and if so when is it...

I feel at times I have way too many minis and this was exemplified recently when I was looking at the number of things I have bought recently....Not so much how many I\'d bought but what I\'d bought...

example bought Teclis Yesterday...No real reason just fancied painting him again..
I know that somewhere in my collection I have at least 4 or 5 of this model. The problem is it would take me a good day or two to search through the endless boxes crammed full to the brim to actually find it....

too many minis??? too lazy ?? too unorganised ?? or just plain bloody addicted???

No dose of minis will ever be enough for this addiciton... I just dont have the money. If I had the money I would have a Milvan outside of the house with endless boxes of blister packs and plastics... you name it.

 my crystal ball has informed me that I will live forever as long as I keep buying minis......... that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.lol

You have too many when you find one in your collection and you don\'t remember buying it.

I have way more than I\'ll ever paint, unless I stopped buying now, and painted till I was 80. But that\'s no fun.

I\'m with Ritual on this one....

What does the expression \'too many minis\' mean?

The three words don\'t make any sense joined up like that.

I have sworn not to buy any more minis until I have painted the ones I have. But the TAG British Infantry and the Testors Ruby Ford call to me, like a medallion to zombie pirates...

i just got some shelves in cause the wife says she\'s tired of seeing junk all over my \"manroom\" so in going through everything i realized i have enough mini\'s to keep me busy for at least 4 months if i worked 40 hours a week. that is a bunch. and considering i have only been into this hobby for 11 months i feel very ..very.... very.... dirty.....

\"OUT DAMN MINI.... OUT I SAY!!!\"

MacMini hath spoken.

sorry to you english who just saw me bastardize shakespeare.

I think the amount to make it into \'too many minis\' would differ depending on the person. With my current lack of focus when it comes to painting (I\'ve rushed out a 500 point 40k army in a night and nothing else for about 8 months) all I know is that I have far too many miniatures. I couldn\'t paint a 5th of the stuff I own in one lifetime.

I havn\'t bought any minis for a few weeks now, which is good going for me. I have 4 blister packs and a 10 orcs waiting in line (thats not what i own, just waiting for paint!) before i get anything else painted (and hopefully bought)
Although i did order 1 mini yesterday, Jakob Rune was selling his master for the Christian IV sculpt. Saying as there would only ever be 18, with only 14 being available, i pretty much had to snap it up straight away!

Too. Many. Minis.

I know what those words mean separately, but together they make no sense.

As long as the bank isn\'t foreclosing on your house and the kids are fed, go for it.

Ebay+mini\'s = no $. 12 step principals come in handy.

I hear ya although ebay has been quite kind to me lately.....

@ritual and others I hear ya ...:drunk: I still wrote this and then bought a load more it sort of doesn\'t make sense and it does...as said I guess too many is when the bank is after ya and the kids are eating the dog who is weak from lack of a good feed......

I agree. I apply to the theory that I will not die untill I paint my last mini. Hence the more the better.

I saw this post and thought about what too much is, but then again is there ever enough???? I originally started with 40k Eldar 1850 list and the next thing I knew, I was sitting with 50,000 points worth of plastic metal and resin. Damn Armorcast and Forgeworld, lol. Now I also have a Ragnarok sized collection of unpainted Drunes (all of them to date). I still see ones that I like and they are in French, which I can`t speak and barley read, but like the mini. In the end, I guess too many are when you can`t get in your front door without tripping over them, lol.
